I’ve never had that. What kind of flavour profile does it have?
Disclaimer, I'm a novice and have yet to develop a refined whiskey palate.
I get cedar and a little bit of floral which is supposedly from the sakura. Aftertaste vaguely reminiscent of banana.

Matsui does a Sakura cask single malt, which I'll probably check out next.
Edit- Apparently in the world of Japanese whiskey, Matsui has a shady reputation for relabeling foreign products, and only recently started trying to prove they actually make what they sell. Neat.

I’ve always got a Johnnie Walker “Green” going…apparently have to bust into a new one this evening. Im not a massive scotch fan, but this one just does it for me, love it.

1) anyone have a similar recommendation? What I like about this is how it’s a blend of all four regions of scotch. So a little salty, little smokey, etc. My wife is a Laphraoig fan…not for me too much smoke.
2) curious if folks around north america can easily get this? Only one shop by me sells it…no one else. Seems to be an odd ball around here. Im good w/ red label, but this is much better…IMG_9156.jpeg

I once bought a bottle of Bunnabhain cuz it came with some glencairns, that definitely had a touch of saltiness to it.

I haven’t had the Green.

Lagavulin 8 Year and Ardbeg Wee Beastie (5 Year) might be a little too smoky for you, but they’re both young Islay whiskies, so they have some nice salinity and iodine notes that you don’t get with the more mature counterparts in their lines.

I managed to score a bottle of green Chartreuse at Total Wine today, first time I saw it on the shelves. Normally it would be way past the max I'm willing to pay for booze but with I got a TW gift card for Christmas so it came out to just at the max. I'll update when I make something with it
I recommend the Last Word highly, or just using some as flavoring for carbonated water (perhaps with some honey?).

I also hear that the French take a teaspoon as medicine when they're ailing.

Yeah I'm going to do a Last Word once I have some Luxardo. I do have a Soda Stream so I can definitely try it with soda water. Last night I ended up having a Bijou, didn't get a picture because I put my phone away for the night but it was really good.
