All Your Pipes, Double Your Money; Would You?

+1 with all the "Never" "couldn't do its"... unless my grandchildren were starving... otherwise, every pipe has a story and a significance to me.

Chip In The Bottom of The Bowl

Bummer. I've always found vulcanite to be the most comfortable, even if a PITA sometimes as it ages. It was a lovely pipe.

Brown Sugar Flake: Review With Pictures.

Last night I cracked a tin of C&D Bijou from their cellar series. Bless me if it didn't strike me as VERY close to the SG BSF! It was not a side by side comparison, but if memory serves, very close, at least to my perceptions. Might be a way for others to try something very similar.

    E-readers. Use 'em? Love 'em?

Thanks for post that jmagen... I did NOT know about Gutenberg.org! Fascinating! Back to the original thread: LOVE books here, have NO space anymore... plus an intelligent rule applied upon me by My Majesty who declared that no new physical books come in until older ones go out. Not too long...

Brown Sugar Flake: Review With Pictures.

I just want to say BSF was/is one of my favorites! I bought two tins during the short duration it was available here... the old one-to-try/smoke|one-to-cellar formula. Promptly devoured the first tin, went back to order more, and by that time, it was gone from these shores. So the 2nd tin...

Can't Believe I just did this... bought an accordion!

All my life, I've had two unfulfilled bucket listers with music... accordion and bagpipes. (I'm a retired music teacher... primary instruments: piano/organ, brasses - playing tuba now on that front... and a whole shtload of folk instruments.) Somehow the winter doldrums just got to me and I...

C&D King Cake -- Love it!

This is the second time in a fortnight I've been bowled over with enjoyment on a new (to me) tobacco! Last time it was War Horse Green, this time C&D King Cake! I don't do reviews, I just do "enjoys". There are far more extremely well versed reviewers amongst our most excellent membership...

What are your favorite tin notes?

The other day I got my nose stuck in a tin of GLP Fillmore and seriously couldn't get it out... sensuously deep and delicious mature Virginias with a supreme scoop of perique... I must have sniffed it a full half hour before I even filled my pipe! And, thanks be, you can't get cancer from...

I Just Tried War Horse Green

Valerian: Heliotrope: I read that Valerian can be used to treat sleep disorders, nervous problems, psychological distresses of various kinds, menopause, and hot flashes. I read that the primary uses of heliotrope were for "perfumery", aroma-therapy, and "colorization". So I'll get WHB and...
