    My First Pete

Here's my premier Peterson, a POTY 2008: I love the feel of it in the hand and can stare endlessly at the grain. When I first got it, in flying ecstasy I removed it from the box and "sock" and stuck it in my mouth... and it was like sucking on a hardwood dowel rod! Here the stuff they used...

Smoking the same briar with a 9mm multiple times a day

I can't speak for frequency issues, as to how much or when with pipe smoking. I can say that I am a deeply confirmed 9mm filter guy. I really enjoy what they do for the smoke for me. My best results come with using a fresh filter for each smoke. I very much like "clean" and "fresh". One...

    Sutliff - "Mixture 79"

I remembered musing to myself when I first tried Sir Walter Raleigh not too terribly long ago that it was an unexpectedly fine smoke to me. My adult son pointed out that there are reasons why some of these grand old "OTC" brands are still out there. I remember buying my dad a can of Mixture...

    Sweet dunhill blend?

The only Dunhill blend that strikes me as sweet is Dunhill Ready Rubbed... maybe get that and some "blending latakia" and sprinkle some in "season to taste". Just thinking out loud here.
