How far do you have to drive for tobacco?

I guess we're fortunate where I am. I notice the Walgreen's around here all have the basic drug store blends available and Dr. Grabow pipes. We have a local B&M and smoking lounge. Then for the days I work in the office there's Uptown's in Nashville that really has a great selection of...

    Hearth and Home Tobaccos

Magnum Opus is a favorite of mine. Black House is on the list to try. Also looking at running through all the bulk blends - Uptown's here in Nashville carries them so it makes a good reason to pay them a visit once every week or two :)

    Other pipe communities online?

I'm a member of Brothers Of Briar but I'm not sure I've ever posted and rarely frequent. I'm also a member of ChristianPipeSmokers.net and participate there on occasion. I really don't have the time to frequent too many forums. This site has good content and a good pace - that is, busy enough...

    Is food the new tobacco?

Well, the problems caused by food (which could well be the vast majority of our health woes) have more to do with what you eat rather than how much you eat. And the same can be said for tobacco, as I think we are all aware. Nevertheless, interesting article.

    New Bent Bob.

I agree - can't wait to see once you've got it finished :)

It looks great. Here's to much enjoyment with it :puffy:

    Individual Smoking Habits

I typically smoke about 1 bowl a day, usually in the evening. If we've got something going on though I may not get to enjoy my pipe that day. I'll bring my pipe with me to work once a week or so to enjoy a half bowl on the way in or out... it'd probably be more if I didn't work from home half...

    20 inches of Meerschaum!

That is really cool looking. Unfortunately I can't help you out any though.

New Pipe for my Bday (Pics)

Thanks all. Yes... divided by 10. :) They had probably 8 or 9 Neerup's at Uptown's (here in Nashville) and they all seem very reasonably priced ($80-125 or so). The other pipes that caught my eye most were the Brigham pipes but the ones they had were a bit more than I thought I could get away...

New pipe picked up on the ebays :)

Well I'm no expert but it looks like a great deal to me :) The pipe looks new and won't require much work to clean - the stem doesn't even appear to have been smoked. Edit - just saw the title says unused. Definitely a great deal!

    Some new STUFF!

What a great gift - the pipe looks really nice. Was the Drambuie like a gift set? I was picking up some Maker's Mark for our eggnog last week and I had just missed a nice gift set that had the wax drip over the glasses. Looked really nice.

New Pipe for my Bday (Pics)

My birthday was actually a few weeks ago. I had a little bit of cash that was part of my gift so I used it towards this Neerup and SG Navy Flake. This is a very lightweight pipe and a great smoker. I've been breaking it in with some Westminster as this is going to be an English dedicated pipe...

You must be a pipe smoker

That's great. I have a picture of my tobacco cabinet and a bottle of Everclear in the back. A coworker of mine is a cigar smoker and when I showed him the picture he immediately asked what went best with Everclear. I replied 'I have no idea' :)

    Finally moved into new house!

Grats Peter! That looks great. I'm a little envious :)

Kudos to you and your creation called Key Largo Mr. Pease.

Sounds like a great blend, thanks for sharing :)
