20 inches of Meerschaum!

Hey guys I recently got this pipe. It is almost 20 inches of Meerschaum. It is unsmoked. I know some of you have many Meerschaums and some of you have custom ordered pipes. Looking at this how much do you think this is worth? The exterior of the bowl is 2.75 inches tall. Let me know what you think, I'm thinking about selling it but thought I would get some opinions about what I should ask for it. It breaks down into four pieces; the bowl, two long meer sections, and the stem.

Hi Shain,
I'm no expert on meers, but I've seen similar looking pipes at shows priced between $250 and $300 (unsmoked). I'm guessing you could probably get around $200 if you put it on ebay, perhaps less.
That's not a lot of money. I think if you like it, you should keep it, smoke it and enjoy it.

Keep the Pipe and enjoy it for it's smoking properties. It will not bring enough $$ to make selling it worthwhile, unless you find that 'special Buyer'.

I agree with everybody else, dont sell it if you dont have to.
That is unless you really hate it, if you dont see yourself ever picking it up, sell it and buy something you will like.
I cant tell you what to do, As far as value, i would say maybe 150.

The price you would probably get for it is nothing like what its worth. Its worth $150-$200 easy, but put it on Ebay for that and you will still have it for sale next December. I'd say realistically to sell it on Ebay, you're talking less than $100. These long Meers are listed pretty often, I've watched them sale for around $40 more than once. I had one that I sold, I think I got around $60 for it. Who knows though, you could find the right buyer that absolutely has to have just this one but I wouldnt count on it.

I say keep it and enjoy it.

Its actually pretty well made and the joints screw together really tight so that t seems like one big piece
