Pipe Smoker on the LL Bean catalog cover

Very cool. I love Bean merchandise though I hate some of the prices. Nevertheless whenever the family makes a trip up to visit relatives outside Portland, a trip to Bean is usually a part of the stay.

    Update on Site Problems

Very true. I like to think of efficient code as an art.

My first homemade pipe rack, just finished

Very nice and compact. Love that it hangs up with doors that close. Not bad at all.

    Small Pipes

I actually like both larger and smaller pipes and have found I reach for a smaller pipe if I'm going to be up and about but a larger if I'm going to be sitting still. I think the predominant reason is there's a decent difference in weight and I tend to clench when I'm walking around or doing...

    Birthday presents and cribbage

That's great! My wife loves cribbage. I have a hard time getting into it but I know it gets addicting.

Balkan Sovereignty - I think this is Funny, but Not Sure

+1: I would propose the thread closed as I've bit my tongue more than once now (not that I think 'biting my tongue' carries much weight, in case any get the wrong impression). +1: Bruno: I think you'd be a great addition. Please stick around :puffy:

    Local purchase vs online cost

There are several benefits to shopping at the local B&M. A few of those are keeping your B&M in business, being a participant in a dying breed, helping to keep a place open that you can enjoy (the smoking lounges) and another big one, I think, is helping to maintain your local economy by buying...

    Samuel Gawith Navy Flake

This is one of the most flavorful smokes I've had. It's my first navy flake and from what I understand the rum is what makes it navy but its very much in the background in this smoke. I see people mentioning that latakia isn't common in a navy but this is far from latakia heavy. I'm curious...

    My Second Attempt At Rustication

    85 years do I dare

Nice review, thanks for sharing. I still think it's one of the coolest finds I've read about.

    What goes with your smoke?

Typically coffee or water as that's about all I drink unless you count juicing, which I guess we can but I'm not sure I've had a bowl while enjoying a juice... there's something to try.
