    Praise for GLP and R.I.P.

Don’t scare me like that. GLP is by far my favorite tobacco. And I only just recently started exploring the Drucquer&sons blends. Which btw, are very good as well.

Very cool. Almost looks blasted instead of rusticated.

    "Cake" Problems

Is this thread making anyone else hungry? I normally fold a dry pipe cleaner in half and give the chamber a good scrub while it’s still warm. This gets the crud out of the bowl and promotes a nice solid cake layer.

What Music Are You Listening To? (January 2018)

@Duane It’s a shame Bowie died right when he was evolving into his next “new sound.” Dark Star is indeed dark and heavier than most of his other music. @ Philo Buffalo. Yes! My favorite live Zappa performance. Fantastic from start to finish. Currently listening to R.L. Burnside. The badass...

    Pipes Not To Buy First

I think cobs are a great place to start. After all the tongue bite and burned fingers, the sky is the limit. That’s the beauty of pipe smoking. Room for everyone at the table. Whatever suits your fancy. Whether it be a $5 cob or $50K Meer.

    Buff Much? Casualties of EBay

Buffing should be applied like seasoning. A little dab will do you. I had to post that when I seen it. I’ve seen so many rare old classics ruined this way. There’s no shortcuts if you want it done right. You have to put in the grunt work. Shiny sells on the bay

    LHS All Briar Restoration.

That turn out better than expected. Jason, hope it makes a good burner. They smoke nice for ribbon cut. If you remove the stinger it has a nice open draw.

What Pipe Have You Discovered This Year?

I discovered a $20 Stanny. It smokes pretty darn good right out of the gate. I think it’s going to be winner once it’s seasoned a bit. This is the 4th new pipe dedicated exclusively to one blend. Btw, gorgeous Sasieni’s ^^ I love old Brit burners too.
