    Maintenance of Silver Spigots

As the former owner of several spigots, I would suggest investing in a few Q-tips to better clean the gap between mortice and tenon on these things. Evil lurks in the hearts of mortici.

What Are You Listening To (May 2020)

"Crosstown Traffic"...and the rest of it. My favorite kazoo (with Mr. Hendrix on guitar).

Tell Me About Fribourg & Treyer. What's Worth Trying?

Personally, would rate any of F & T's virginias up there. I still have a jones for Capstan but, that's just me.

    RIP Kraftwerk Founder Florian Schneider.

I remember buying "Autobahn" at Tower Records on Sunset Strip back during the day. He was certainly ahead of his time. R.I.P., sir.

Storage of Pipe Tobacco When Out for the Day

jpmcwjr...deep south here. I've rolled up tobacco in a baggie before and stashed it in the pickup while outside working all day. July and August down here usually brings out the moisture in anything. Even Nightcap sleeping in a baggie.

What Are You Listening To (May 2020)

That was agreat album, philo. I saw of his passing, as well, and thought of him. May he rest.

Storage of Pipe Tobacco When Out for the Day

I use an old square Capstan tin. Holds plenty, fits almost anywhere. Plastic baggies would work most places but, the high humidity here in summer would make a sog out of anything inside it pretty quick.

    What are You Watching?

Just goes to show...I liked the original "Cape Fear" better. That may be because I was born in the next state down and, to me, Mitchum's accent was the more subtle while De Niro just sounded like most Yankees trying to talk "Southern". That may play well in Peoria but, it ain't gonna fly in...

    What are You Watching?

"Deadwater Fell"...Acorn TV w. David Tennant. Mr. Tennant is surprisingly convincing here in this 4 part series as a doctor in a small Scottish town who stands accused after losing his wife and children in a housefire. Well done all around. 3/5...I would have scored this a bit higher but, it...

Just Bought 31 Cans of Billy Beer

Let's just say it's worth a lot more inside the can than it ever was out. Billy was a huckster in more things than just beer.

And I'll see your "Stone" and raise you another one. "Purple". STP.

The Good, the Favorite and the Everyday

At one time, I had a 7 day set each of Pete spigots, Savs, Stanwells and Radices. A few odds and ends. Somehow, I wound up with nothing but 4 Castellos and one beater 673 that stays in the pick-up. One cob that's around here somewhere. I may pick up another Castello or two. Or I may not...

    What are You Watching?

Just started the latest season of "Bosch". Around our house, it's a 4/5.

    Favorite Arms Manufacturer

The father of a good friend of mine brought a Luger 9mm back from WWII. It's stamped date is 1941. Outside of a Colt Python .22 built on a .357 frame with a 9-inch barrel, that Luger is still the most accurate pistol I've ever shot.

    Favorite Arms Manufacturer

Glock 19 for business. Taurus "Judge" for fun.

What Kind Of Whisky To Ease This Pain

I'm thinking more along the lines of Mad Dog 2020 and a Glock 19.
