I thought about posting this in Food and Drink but in all honesty this isn't a drinkable thing. I don't even want to think what all leached from the can over the last 40+ years.

Anyway, I've wanted a can or two of Billy Beer to go in by small collection of brewing history stuff but never was in the right place at the right time. Heck, it was going for some pretty crazy money per can only a few years ago. Well, a flat, a six pack and a single can all came up in a local estate auction and I put in a bid. Strangely enough, the rest of the lots (over 1000 cans over 3 auctions so far) went for way more than I wanted to pay but these sort of slipped under the radar. That said, I am now the proud owner of way too many cans of the stuff and happy for it. If anybody wants, I'll post a pic when I pick them up tomorrow.

Bonus question, any of you guys/gals get to try this..."nectar" back when it was new?

Back in the 70's beer can collecting was huge. I have one unopened can of Billy Beer in my collection of 200+ cans. I moved out of my parents house in 1978 with several boxes of beer cans...they're still packed in boxes in the garage.

Beer can collecting was the bane of 70s. In 7th grade, every kid possessed an utterly meaningless collection of empty cans from beers he'd never tasted.
