Black coating inside bowl...
I only remember them coating the outside of the cobs when I watched the documentary. I could be wrong but I don't see any coatings inside of my cobs. As far as briars I've been lucky I guess, I've never tasted any of the coatings.- jeepnewbie

NASPC Pipe Show
I'm planning to make the trip to go to a pipe show next month in Dublin. I was wondering who is planning on going. How far have you traveled for a show? It's a 10 hour drive from here, but I've not been to Dublin before and would like to make it a trip on my bike. Hope to see some folks there.- jeepnewbie

Help with Pipe Rack
3/4 to 1" should be good. It really depends on the stem size. Some will say not to hang them upside down but I haven't noticed a difference. Good luck and post some pics.- jeepnewbie

Working On A New Pipe
Finally got around to working some more on this. Wish I could just stay in my garage, just need to do the final sanding stages. I may even make the foot smaller, not quite sure. Still a bit too blocky to me for the base but I like the curves for the rest of it.- jeepnewbie

My Quirky New Aloha Pipe Thing
What island do you plan on going to? Oahu is very nice and had a couple of nice cigar/pipe stores. One was over by the award shopping center (it closed before I left sadly), another was close to the Alo Moana Mall (I think that is how it is spelled).
