    Hello from Phoenix Arizona

Welcome from just down the 10 in Tucson!

    Show Us Your First Pipe

Here’s mine. It’s a Stanwell Bamboo I purchased about 10-15 yrs ago. I was a cigar smoker and thought I should try out a pipe. It got smoked very quite a bit at the beginning, but then I got out of smoking tobacco at all until last year. I still have it, and smoke it occasionally. It’s not...

    SP 20th Speculation

This wins the “comment of the thread” award. Love it! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

    Water Weight

My first thought was similar, as I noticed last week when I received my first ever box of St. James Flake, Sam Gawith clearly states on the box: "Sold subject to loss by evaporation."

Do You Smoke Primarily with Nose or Mouth or Both?

95 percent mouth, and 5 percent nose. I'll retrohale maybe a handful of times through the bowl, and that seems to be the right amount to enjoy the benefits of the technique without over-cooking my nasal passages. One technique I do enjoy is letting the smoke roll around in my mouth a bit. I...

***What Are You Smoking, Sept. 2020?

Earlier tonight, while walking the dogs with the missus, I enjoyed a bowl of 2018 Carolina Red Flake in a Christ Morgan Blackjack bent bulldog. Now, I'm out on the patio having a bowl of GLP Cairo in a Sasieni two dot 1/4 bent apple that used to belong to Fishnbanjo.

A Cliché, Please Bear With Me

This right here. Haven't had a bad blend from them yet. Worth noting, however, that a couple of their blends go just as fast as Esoterica when they are in stock.

Ken Byron Ventures and the Deeming Regs

I am under the impression that he sources from various places, and that many of his blends involve pre-existing bulk tobacco that has been further processed and/or prepared. I’m sure there are many on here who know more than I, and perhaps even the specifics of Jupiter Slices.

Mildly Modified MM And Stress Test

Also, I love what you did with that cob! My one complaint about cobs is weight and balance. If they all have flat bottoms why can’t they sit!? Problem solved!

Mildly Modified MM And Stress Test

The backstory here: Another member has been on a 4 week hiatus due to some of the things he posted. Kola is accusing you of being that member, posting with another username, because he believes your posting style is similar. I tend to disagree, believing that if said member is back, he...

***What Are You Smoking, Sept. 2020?

Enjoying a bowl of Bosun Cut Plug in a cheap Chinese briar (Road Town) I picked up for these stronger Lakeland blends. Love this stuff, and I wish I'd picked up more of it in January when it dropped. Maybe the new distributor will mean it'll be more widely available in the states soon?

What Do You Do With Your Used Glass Jars?

I just wipe them out and re-use them, generally for a similar type tobacco (Latakia jars are only reused for latakia blends, VaPer jars for new VaPers, etc.). This is all for short term (up to a couple of years). If I know I'm going to be putting something away for a few years I'll use a new jar.

***What Are You Smoking, Sept. 2020?

Last night, I had a chance to try out my new 18" telescope under truly dark skies. It was fantastic, and I spent 5 hours out in the desert looking at the wonders of the universe. Of course I had to have a smoke or three while I was out there, so I smoked: C and D XX Flake in a Sasieni two dot...

How Many Pipe Cleaners to Dry an 8oz Jar?

So the Bowie thread the other day and now this? I think @puff_not_snuff might be more than a little bored. I'm eagerly anticipating what the next strange thread might be. I guess I'm more than a little bored as well.

    Cigars With Cedar Notes.

I seem to recall some cedar undertones in Romeo y Julieta's 1875 series, but it's been years since I've smoked one since I neither seek out cedary smokes nor that particular line.

Ken Byron Ventures and the Deeming Regs

I found the thread AND the muck highly entertaining. I guess that probably says something about close I am to enlightenment. The answer: not close. Not at all.

    All-Salami Diet

Ever been to Salumi in Seattle? Now that's some good salami! They make a Molé Salami that is out of this world.

    David Bowie has Died

This is the truth. If you asked 100 pop music experts to rank the top 10 pop artists of the past 50 years, Bowie would be on every list. Not necessarily at the top, but in the conversation. Bowie was one of the greats, and the best evidence of that is that his music, especially the stuff from...

Is It Just Me, Or Does Plum Pudding Smell Like Horse Poo?

I don't smell that at all. I get peaty BBQ sauce from the PP tin. I think it smells great! But hey, we all have different schnozes, and the smell of Latakia seems to be a polarizing one. I get a lot of barnyard smells from GH and Co/Sam Gawith unaged Virginias. I just picked up a fresh box...
