Mother Nature started it,I used a 1/2" barrel sanded in a Dremel to shape and make it a bit larger. Finished off with hand sanding.- ejames

Viking stems are 1 1/2" long. Late models have an inlaid spade.early pipes do not have a spade--mine doesn't anyway. -

A friend urged me a year or so back to make pens and even sent me a couple of kits. I made one,which turned out fairly well. I have bought a few of the tools used for pen making but really need a wood lathe. Turning pens on a small metal lathe is a PITA !- ejames
