    Pipe Cleaners anyone?

Thanks @ray47! I just had to check out their site, and I'm impressed with their online retail offerings. I DO appreciate a good deal when I see it, and the good deals abound there! I just wish they had some Gawith & Hoggarth Brown and Black Irish Twist :sher: Again, Thanks for the Tip!

To tamp or not to tamp…

I hadn't thought much about developing the cake in a pipe until I started reading this forum. I've heard of people putting Honey, ashes, wood charcoal and anything that was natural and sticky into a new pipe just to hasten the cake development. I've never tried to develop a cake, it would just...

    Shipping Troubles From Other Countries?

I talked to a Customs agent [at a Lunch Spot] that works at a UPS International hub. She said they are so busy looking for illegal drugs and Trademark Infringement violations, that unless you are just unlucky that day, [or they spot cigars], odds are in your favor that your package will pass. At...

    UK Pipe Smokers....or Lack Thereof

It is surprising how much your description of North Carolina could be used to also describe Kentucky....I do miss the smell of curing tobacco and the smells from the tobacco factories :sher:

    UK Pipe Smokers....or Lack Thereof

    Worlds Slowest Race

I surprised my wife one year, a long time ago, and took her to the Kentucky State Fair Pipe Smoking Contest. I even didn't enter so as she wouldn't be left alone in a strange crowd. She STILL said it was worse than watching Paint Dry! I haven't taken her to the fair since then! rotf

Is There A Lighter That Doesn't Leak?

I've heard that also, but I was taught how to light a Cigar from a old Gentleman who owned and worked at his Tobacco shop all his life. He told me about the zippo fuel which has stuck with me all these years. When I did smoke cigarettes I used a zippo lighter to light them, but never inhaled...

Is There A Lighter That Doesn't Leak?

A few years ago my wife bought me a KIRIBI pipe lighter and I can honestly say it was worth the money. I don't know if I just got lucky and got a good one, or if all of them really are this good. I started with a ZIPPO, but the lighter fluid gave my tobacco/cigars a faint taste of the fuel, so...
