Pipe Cleaners anyone?

It's been about 20 years since I had to buy pipe cleaners. Yeah, I like to buy in bulk. But like all good things, it comes to an end and I'm running low. I know prices have gone up on everything, but DAMN!, I couldn't believe what they're asking for them on the net. So, I could use your help. Do any of you know where to get a reasonable price on cleaners in bulk. I'd like to buy at least 1,000 of of the bristle type, like Ream-n-Klean or something similar. Thanks for any help.

Mars Cigars and Smoking Pipes have reasonable prices. I always buy the 100 pack BJ Longs for around $2.00 a pack. $20 for 10 packs gives me 1000 pipe cleaners which will last me about 8 months.

Pipe cleaners are the cheapest part of smoking a pipe but a necessity. At least for me. I buy the regular BJ Long in 100 packs. I usually buy 20 packs at a time or wherever the best price volume discount is.

I use straw cleaners with neutral dish wash to clean stem and shank.
95% alcohol to clean pipe bowl.

I have been buying my BJ Long Tapered and Tapered Bristle from pipesandcigars for a long time. They were always right under 2.00 a pack. I never thought of it but I should have asked them how much of a discount could I get if I bought a thousand.

I just checked their site and the prices have gone up and are now over 2.00 a pack where before they were always under. They always beat smokingpipes on the prices which didn't make much sense to me.
I just checked PC and they are out of stock of all their BJ Pipe Cleaners. I have never seen this before.

The prices at SP are a few cents higher and they have them in stock. Is there going to be a BJ Long Shortage and people will try to sell them for 5 bucks a pack on ebay? Ya never know.

Thanks @ray47! I just had to check out their site, and I'm impressed with their online retail offerings. I DO appreciate a good deal when I see it, and the good deals abound there! I just wish they had some Gawith & Hoggarth Brown and Black Irish Twist Again, Thanks for the Tip!

I used to use BJ Long, but, find they shed a bit too much for my taste. I mainly use White Elephant now—they shed less and the wire is stiffer/stronger and less prone to bending. I also use Falcon Extra Thin pipe cleaners for older pipes with narrow draught holes.

I use a similar set for cleaning out estates. Definitely a handy piece of equipment for removing all sorts of goo in the stem and shank.

Last time I purchased a pack of pipe cleaners I paid $3.29 for 100 (Bryco). Purchased from my local Tinder Box. When I go into Tinder Box to look at pipes and tobacco, I can't leave without purchasing something. Sometimes I just a pack of pipe cleaners and a pack of filters.

I use all kinds of pipe cleaners, you might say I’m a pipe cleaner enthusiast.

I’d like to say one is better than the other, but I’d also like to say that it matters.

The only ones I panic when I run low are the Falcons. Everything is just a pipe cleaner.

Now who is going to tell us about how they wash and reuse their pipe cleaners? There is alway one lurking on this forum somewhere who pops them in with his weekly wash and hot cycle!
