    WCC Rouxgaroux this Year?

Funny you say that, I literally just smoked a bowl of the two together and thought there was very little difference from smoking either individually...

    Haddo's Delight

I did not like it in the beginning. Scratch that, I hated it. Let it sit in the tin, the topping evaporated significantly, and it's a completely different blend. I prefer plummy and funky perique to to the horseradish spice perique found in Haddos, but after the aforementioned offgassing I...

    SWR Aromatic

    Underrated Factory Pipes / Brands

Any of the major French pipe manufactures, hands down

    Dem Brickz

D&R was not bought IIRC. Just a majority stake sold by Mark Ryan. Definitely could mean a change in product lineup though. But anyways, Rimboche is the shizzle. If it is going byebye, someone correct me and I'll add some poundage.

    Calling All St Bruno Lovers!

Thank you, I will definitely email them later! A pound box of St. Bruno flakes is one of the few things that would make me open the wallet right now. puffy

Is Pipe Tobacco Currently Threatened in USA?

I enjoy these threads, if for no other reason, because they make me feel better about spending so much money on tobacco, jars, and mylar.

    Burley Based Blends Suggestion

Right now... Burley forward - C&D Burley Flake #1 (gonna smoke another right now, damn stuff is growing on me) Burley/Aro -Is and probably always will be Watch City Deluxe Crumb Cut. Runner up - SWRA (especially with red VA added). Dark/Kentucky-ish blends? St. Bruno for sure.

    Purchasing A Meerschaum

I'm a big fan of Altinay. I think you get more for your money. I've purchased a meer there before, and will probably do again soon.

    A Perique Story...

It seems the decade perique and some of the other limited stuff was highly lauded. I'd like to get his ear at a future show and see what he'd think about doing some of that stuff again.

    A Perique Story...

Yeah I've been theorizing why the Sutliff tastes how is does, but the truth is I don't know. Its been a month in a press lock bag and the stuff is still very moist - but I'm fairy confident it is Not a mold or bacterial thing as it's remained very consistent and isn't necessarily "off" smelling...

    A Perique Story...

That's great to hear! It seems enough have had a positive experience that I definitely ought to source some stuff to make my own whole-leaf blend.

    A Perique Story...

I made a Perique thread previously in the blending section, for those of you that gave advice and information - thank you for participating. Here is a verbose sharing of my experiences with some different periques. The Periques sourced were as follows (and are visible in the following photo...

    Good Va-Per Tobacco

I thought it unhelpful to hear this before I gave it a shot, but trying different types of Virginias and perique varieties will get you further in finding out what you like. Or just trying out different VaPers and finding what you like best. Virigina and Perique tobacco varietals are too...

    St. Bruno: Will It Ghost?

For me, it's so light it's hard to tell. The slight ghost, like has been said before, comes from the combo of the floral/tonquin flavoring, and of the dark tobacco's themselves.

    St. Bruno: Will It Ghost?

I've smoked a pouch recently and it leaves a slight ghost. I'm a fiend for that flavor though I wish it had even more.

C&D Burley Flake #1 Love Thread

So here goes my one bowl review... For what it's worth. Pipe used - Brand new MM 5th Avenue Diplomat with included paper filter. Drink - Big glass O' water. Smoked on a full belly of braised short rib stew. The smoke - C&D Burley Flake #1 dated early March of 2020. For those unaware, the...

C&D Burley Flake #1 Love Thread

What a convenient thread. I just scooped this out of a package. I have to say, I've really been looking forward to trying it. I've been craving burley and am diving into the deep end with burley blends for the first time. I'll try to crack it tonight to share my thoughts....
