Burley Based Blends Suggestion

[Winterreise]

Hey , i would like some of your advice on good burley and dark fired kentucky blends out there ( Even Va/Bur etc)
So Far i only tried 2 blends
JackKnife Plug and Irish Flake that i really like !

I mostly smoke Va,Va/Per And english/Balkan but i want something new on my rotation
Thank for your advices !

C&D is a reliable source for good burley blends. I mentioned 558 as it is a VaPer with Kentucky which is devine. MacBarons H&H line is a good series that won't disappoint.

Savinelli Doblone d’Oro is something I suggest no matter what people are looking for, whether it be a VaPer or VaBur. I’m a fan apparently.

Burley forward - C&D Burley Flake #1 (gonna smoke another right now, damn stuff is growing on me)

Burley/Aro -Is and probably always will be Watch City Deluxe Crumb Cut. Runner up - SWRA (especially with red VA added).

Dark/Kentucky-ish blends? St. Bruno for sure.

Good list right here. I’d add Warrior Plug too but I’m not even sure if it’s still on the market. These Irish plugs are much different than other Burley based blends in my opinion.

Oh and of course I’ll have to add Erinmore Flake & St. Bruno (VA/Kentucky).

In my search to see if Warrior Plug is still out there (it is) I noticed Pipe Divan is gone. Anyone know if they closed up shop? They probably went into early retirement after all the Condor Plug I bought from them.

+1 for C&D Burley Flake #1, I can't get enough of it. Might I suggest C&D Burley Flake #3 however? It has their great burleys along with Kentucky fire cured as well, with just a bit of perique and red Virginia. I think it would be right up your alley.

You might also want to order up some of C&D's dark Burley itself, just for kicks. And don't forget C&D Old Joe Krantz, that stuff will make the hairs in your nose grow hair...

All of those C&D blends listed by bladesmith, and +1 on Amphora Burley, and I enjoyed Russ O.'s Va/Per with dark fired Fire Storm. Peterson's Irish Flake has depth and resonance.
