    Tobacco Sticking to the Walls

Yes! I've found it works best to get the whole top glowing, tamp it re-light and that usually gets it done. Sometimes depending on the tobacco cut and moisture this may have to be repeated. I think the key is to get the whole surface burning,tamp,re-light.

With my fondness for Perique, looks like I'll have to try this one. Thanks for the recommendation!

    Do Aromatics Suck?

In my cellar today, yes. But IMO they have their place. Many folks love them, beauty is in the eye of the beholder so they say. Will Italian Makers Ever Switch Back to Ebonite/Vulcanite Stems?

It's been my experience that acrylic is harder to work with. It has it's advantages though and they may not want to make the change. Ebonite stinks and is messy compared to acrylic. Once I made the change though I do like working it.

My first bowl of Per G. Jensen Burley In the shop today. Too soon to tell but so far so good. Seems to be a rubbed out flake, a real flake IMO and not one of those pressed ribbon and sliced flake. Seems very high quality.

Pros and Cons of Meer Lined Pipes

Good question, sorry I don't have an official answer but my guess would be this. Some folks would like the best of both worlds. Meerschaum for the smoking characteristics and briar for the look and durability.

That's awesome you can get Dupont lighters at a discount! Probably don't have to worry about knock offs either. To me, Dupont is one of the best made lighters.

I try to avoid anything made in China, except clay teapots and some Pu Erh. But unfortunately, with some things it cannot be avoided.
