    TAD Acquisitions 2024

Order placed today. I hope this stuff is good. I've heard good reviews on the Ryback but nothing on the Per Jensen. With the exception of 5 bros, twenty years ago, I havent smoked any of this stuff. Do I have a problem???

How to Store tobacco from a European tin?

If your not going to smoke the tobacco in a couple of weeks I'd jar it up now. It depends how dry you like your tobacco, if you like it crispy, leave it in the tins. They may seem like a good seal but as soon as the vacuum seal is broken they really do not preserve the tobacco very well for long...

    Contact Information for Mimmo Provenzano?

Again, I would start with Al-pascia tell them what happened, when you purchased the pipe, how many times you smoked it. You may be surprised.

    Contact Information for Mimmo Provenzano?

Did he make the pipe? I'd start seeking help through Al-pascia.

    Spotted...In The Wild!

Well lets say I was sitting alone on a beautiful day, smoking my pipe, say at a park by the river. Someone came by smoking his pipe and didn't stop to chat, I can't say I'd be offended but I would be disappointed. Not many of us around any longrer that smoke pipes and for someone not to share...

Removing Silver Band from Peterson Meerschaum Pipe

Yeah, a couple dents is better than a broken shank. Polish it up and admire them as character abrasions. Just think if they could talk, the stories they could tell.🤔

Removing Silver Band from Peterson Meerschaum Pipe

If that's the case, you've got double the surface area binding the silver to the meerschaum. May be why it's a bit tricky. i don't know how much "give" is in the shank but as you squeeze the silver to remove you may be tightening it on the silver mortise. Just thinking out loud here😉

Removing Silver Band from Peterson Meerschaum Pipe

Is it a spigot? What I mean is, is it a tapered mortise with silver lining the mortise?

Removing Silver Band from Peterson Meerschaum Pipe

Looks like a spigot, if so, it may be tricky. There may be more adhesive than just the outside of the shank. I'm actually surprised it doesn't twist off considering the age, may be pressed in. You may want to contact Peterson. Good luck. I'm sure there's someone here with more help me.

    Info, please: M. B. Cannon - Murnon from 1910's

Congratulations on your find and thanks to those that contributed the interesting information to this thread! Anyone discover what brand of pipe they made or was it just American briar pipe? Maybe shop pipes?

    A few beginner questions

Yes! I'd recommend a straight piece and nothing too fancy to begin with. With a straight piece you've got a good chance it will take a pipe cleaner. I've noticed a lot of bent pieces do not take pipe cleaners while assembled.
