    1999 Assortment of Tobaccos.

Beautiful assortment. It looks like what you really want is to sell them, so I'd decide on a price (which it appears you've already consulted on) and post a sale thread in the For Sale sub forum. Easy enough. Have a great weekend!

Changes in Wessex Blends (seeking info)

Agreeing with sable, 2019 seems to have been a year that saw a lot of variation from then onward. For several different brands.

    Sam Gawith Burnt Ends

That part of sample #1 was attached to a flake that was pressed and was identical to it--I just photographed that particular part because it was easier to see how blonde the unpressed leaf was. It also seems to me that the flavor in the dark portions (sample #2) isn't "tobacco juice" flavor...

Patent-era Sasieni "Viscount Lascelles" To Die For

Certain Ben Wade pipes from the Leeds era had naipes stamped on them. A "Selected Brain" was a heart ❤️. The significance of the spade and club in these cases is unclear. Shrug.

    Sam Gawith Burnt Ends

I was taste-testing some of the Burnt Ends that arrived today and I notice that there was an interesting heterogeneity with this product. Some portions had plenty of "sauce" (I'm not a blender, so call it what you will) and other portions had none. In the photo you can see "Burnt Ends - Sample...

    Deer Tongue? That was easy!

I wonder whether tobaccos have actual Deer Tongue in them, or whether it's an extract, for example an alcohol reduction of Deer Tongue essence that is sprayed on the tobacco. For example, the so-called "Lakeland essence" contains extracts of various herbs and twigs that you wouldn't necessarily...

Patent-era Sasieni "Viscount Lascelles" To Die For

Family friends of the Lascelles--surname of Wade if I recall correctly--made something remarkably similar.

    Sam Gawith Burnt Ends

Smokingpipes has crashed with the rush of sales. I was returning my cart from Paypal and it hung.

    Sam Gawith Burnt Ends

It will be interesting to evaluate how a difference in process on the same substrate (current FVF) changes the product. I haven't written a review in a long time but I think this presents an interesting context from a technical perspective, especially being a long-time smoker of FVF.

    Electric Cooler Hunidor

Whatever cedar wood there is in the humidor has limited buffering capacity for humidity. You will get stable, adjustable humidity readings once your cigars are inside. You humidor is already "seasoned", the maximum humidity capacity of the cedar having been reached and the excess now reaching...

    The Portuguese Free Bookshop

Ah yes! I had a 'francesinha' sandwich at the corner restaurant there in May, I think it was. I was also smoking a tin of Orlik Brown that @simong had given me. Coimbra has a special place in my heart.

I love Coimbra. What part of the city is your library located?

    Show Us Your Bewlay Pipes

I believe it's acceptable to post it for sale in the "For Sale" sub-forum right here if you like. You can also post it on eBay but I'd avoid a "Buy it Now" sale that might be either too high (and never sell) or too low (and lose you money).

The Mystery of the Iron Cage

I catch squirrels nonstop in mine. I've tried all the traps and this one's the best this far.

    A Mysterious Bulldog

It's stamped on the wrong side, oddly enough. Robinson & Co. Ltd. Singapore, Made in England (rugby) shape 420. Looks like a Comoy to me. Bowling ball stem.

I have a Comoy in that exact shape. I'll try to find it when I get home from work.

Interesting Completed Ebay Auctions - British Pipes

I've got a few like this and I smoke them when I'm in the run. Just takes extra care when reaming out the bowl so it doesn't crack but I still keep 'em smoking to the last! ;)

Dear God, What is that Thing?

Wonder how many bags of Esoterica you'd get for buying one of those ugly things. Fair amount I'd gather. 😶‍🌫️
