Do You Return Your Shopping Cart?

I too would give you a pass. I've been there (eight orthopedic surgeries) and done that.

Do You Return Your Shopping Cart?

That guy most certainly would not return a shopping cart.

Living in a One Tobacco Town, and How I Stay Sane.

How about in exchange for taking me fishing for a week, I will smuggle you in from the states several pounds of fine pipe tobacco?

Do You Return Your Shopping Cart?

Those who don't return shopping carts are likely the same ones who throw their garbage out on the side of the road. They can't be inconvenienced to do the right thing and feel that the rest of society simply exists to attend to their needs. It is most certainly a sign of low breeding.

    How Many Lbs. a Year?

I get 25 bowls per two ounces which equals 200 bowls per pound. 365 days x 3 bowls per day is 1,095 bowls per year. 1,095/200 is roughly 5.5 lbs needed for a year supply. If you get 20 bowls per 2 ounces, your requirement would be right at 7 lbs/year.

    New Pipe Smoker: Tobacco Choices

Woops, should have read more closely. Old Joe has a good amount of Perique in it. Perhaps Peterson Irish Flake or HH Bold Kentucky or Old Dark Fired. Their good stout, proper tobaccos. Also, the Gawith and Hoggarth ropes/twists (Brown Irish and Black Irish) are good strong tobaccos as well.

    New Pipe Smoker: Tobacco Choices

Get yourself a few ounces of Old Joe Krantz. It's not the strongest tobacco out there but it's fairly strong. Start smoking your pipe before the nicotine monkeys completely get out of their cage. It will take time for the nicotine to absorb via the pipe unlike the immediate hit of cigarettes...

    Smoking in the morning

I like my tobacco on the dry side so I don't have any issues with doing this. I usually will choose a "no fuss" ribbon cut tobacco such as Bayou Morning to start the day. Easily lit, burns well, minimal maintenance with adequate nicotine delivery. I program my coffee pot to go off at a set time...

Do You Own a Pipe 5” or Less in Length?

I own several sub 5" pipes and probably most of my pipes are less than 6". I have always favored the more compact, nimble and lightweight pipes and notice no discernable difference in smoking abilities. I also like that they fit easily in a shirt or jacket pocket.

$100 Grand for a New Pickup?

You speak the truth sir. The majority of folks in this country are swimming in debt up to and past their eyeballs.

$100 Grand for a New Pickup?

That makes me feel better about driving my old (and paid for) 2011 Ford F150 around.

    Lakeland aromatic

I agree 100%. I don't care how long it takes them to produce and ship their products, or how hard it is to source them. Just don't sell out and change the formula. Thier blends are old school and delicious.

    Lakeland Tobacco

YMMV but I've been smoking Bob's Chocolate Flake and Chelsea Morning in the same pipe. I haven't noticed a whole lot of cross over. The florals and topping in BCF are lightly applied.

    JM Boswell's

Fine folks and very helpful. I live in Tennessee so their shop is a bit off the beaten path for me and I've never had a chance to visit. However, I have communicated with them over the phone and through email and they have always been a pleasure to interact with. I'm glad you enjoyed your visit.

I'm ready for boots and Carhartt jackets. Sorry Embers, summer is my least favorite time of year. Bring on the cool temps.

MM Corncobs - Chewing Gum as Pipe Mud

I don't think I would use chewing gum but who knows? You can use ash from a fireplace if you have any. Or pipe tobacco ash if it's pure ash. If not, hire a friend to smoke a cigar for you. Or, you could send me a Padron 64 Anniversary pyramid and I'll smoke it for you and send you the ash when...

    Who Is Your Smoking Pal?

My two dogs Sam and Emmylou are my constant companions. I couldn't ask for better, but they can be naughty at times.
