Jim's C&D Corn Cob Pipe & A Button Nose Review.

Great review Jim. It sounds like a nice blend to smoke whilst sitting around the Christmas tree listening to Bing Crosby. I love the tin art and the holiday theme but I likely wouldn't smoke more than a bowl or two as aromatics just don't do it for me. I wish I could get someone to smoke it...

    Let’s Talk Zippo’s…

I use a Zippo as my primary ignition source. I love them for their simplicity and ease of use. The only drawback of course is that they need to be refueled periodically and every once in awhile, change the flint. I usually refuel mine every two to three days depending on use. I also keep a spare...

    Thoughts On Rotation

I rotate around quite a bit. I may smoke the same blend for several days or even weeks, other times I may change things up daily. It really comes down to what I want at that particular moment. I have a few select blends that I enjoy. I too used to chase after all the unique talked about stuff...

    Lancaster Farming: Tobacco Harvest Time

Very nice @woodsroad. Growing up, many farmers in my area of Middle Tennessee grew tobacco. Just 1/4 mile from my farm was a barn where every fall the farmers would smoke cure their tobacco. The smell of smoke emanating from a tobacco barn still takes me back to my youth. Sadly, I rarely have...

    JM Boswell Blends

I just wanted to add that though I don't smoke very many of their blends, I've heard nothing but good things about them and if you enjoy aromatics, you'll most likely be very pleased. And the family as a whole are top notch people and a joy to interact with. I recommend the Boswell's very highly!

***What Are You Smoking, August 2023?***

    How Old Is Too Old?

I once rehydrated some bone dry Hansom Flake by using one of my cigar humification packs, the kind that you dip in distilled water. I placed the pack inside a jar with the tobacco and kind of shifted everything around once a day. After about 3-4 days the tobacco was at a perfect moisture level...

    How Old Is Too Old?

If the cost is reasonable, it would be nice just to pick them up as a bit of memorabilia of days gone by. In regard to smoking, there have been many who have slowly rehydrated old tobacco in order to give it a whirl so to speak. Sometimes it turns out ok, sometimes not, but if the financial...

A Piper's Request for Help; Now, Thanks

Please DM me your info as well. I believe I have some blends you would enjoy. After suffering through the hardships you have endured, a man could use the comforts of a good pipe full of tobacco.

    JM Boswell Blends

I'm not much of an aromatic guy so I don't smoke a lot of their blends. However, if you're looking for a good mild English their Northwoods blend is pretty good.
