Can Tobacco Change For The Worse?

I've always been under the impression that it's mainly Virginia dominant blends that age well, burley definitely don't, all due to the sugar content in the leaf. English blends with a lot of Latakia get more smooth and creamy and less slap you in the face bold also. I got an 8oz tin of some 11...

Can Tobacco Change For The Worse?

Pesky tongue gremlins will get you every time, this is why I smoke 1792 flake 80% of the time 😂

    Peterson Deluxe Stinger?

How old is it? Check the year Hallmark, you can get extra Chimneys from the SP.eu site if it isn't too old

    1950's Peterson House Pipe Restoration

An aluminum chimney probably won't fit the threading of the bone, just use the bone, don't tighten it down and it'll be fine. They can seize so keep it just at the point of threaded all the way in.

    Saved Two More Pipes

    That's a damn nice meer 👍🏻

Show Off Your Meerschaum Pipes Here!

Personally I wouldn't trust the seller again, sometimes the difference in a dozen degrees of bend in a shank can determine wether I would want a pipe or not, now with meerschaum if I spotted something that looked like it would color nicely or had thicker chamber walls and I didnt get that exact...

    Translucent Meerschaum?

Smoking to the Bottom of the Bowl.

Being someone who smokes Peterson system pipes 90% of the time and of those smokes I smoke 1792 flake at least 65% of the time these days in specific systems and meerschaums, I will throw my two cents out there and say smoking to the bottom is over rated. I do pack my system pipes different than...

    Peterson Pipe "Circle"

Briar circles are extremely rare, Paddy Larrigan did a real amazing job on them. I am friends with a few Pete Geeks who own them and they're definitely treasured gems in their collections.

Thanks, it also has a hidden pick inside 😆 the tamper is made of morta and the head is briar. Got it from a guy who makes tampers on etsy. I love how it's worked to even have the tiny nubs as a proper blackthorn shillelagh would have from the thorns being cut off.

    MBSD PAD slip up.

I have one meer from MBSD and I've got to say they have the best packaging and presentation of any business I've ever seen, the hand written notes are above and beyond and the customer service is exceptional. A++++ for a small family business, I wish I wasn't so damn picky when it comes to...

    Show Off Your Petersons Here!

Gotta agree, as much as I love my Petes and I understand the aesthetic inspiration for this finish as it pertains to Ireland the only two I have in that finish are a 2022 St Patrick's day D20 stacked Billiard and the 308 revival (because it wasn't available in any other finish). I think it...

Help Identify a Peterson System Pipe

I could be wrong because I've never owned one but it could be a wellington stem, ive seen many pictures and discussions on them and they made pipes that were very close to peterson systems in looks but don't think they had the p lips.

Help Identify a Peterson System Pipe

It's a Peterson 1890-1990 Commemorative patent system Oom Paul without the original stem. In 1990 peterson did a run of this shape and another, a straight Billiard System. The pipe you seem to have there is a rusticated version of the Oom Paul. More info can be viewed here of you scroll down...

WTTF/WTB Peterson Pipe Chimney For 1975 Premier System Shape 309. 10/21/2023

The old threading from the 70s wont fit the modern chimneys, they're slightly different. I just tried the chimney from a new acrylic stem deluxe in my 76 4s deluxe and it is a no go and I wasn't about to try force it. Might be best off to contact someone who can machine one from aluminum and...
