    I finally got the chance to try Carter Hall today at my pipe club and I was actually really impressed with it for an OTC blend. It was however, a tiny bit on the bland side but I could see it being an all day smoke. Does anyone have any mixing recommendations to really make this blend shine?

    Thats really interesting. I would say its just from hand oils until I see the shank is coloring too. I am actually really curious as to why that is. I have seen some MM corncobs color up on the bowl as well, brown like tar.

    Like I mentioned, we resolved this as I explained that it was much safer than smoking and we came to a compromise. Now I’m realizing that I enjoy the pipe more but have really become nicotine dependent.

    SO happy to hear it worked well for you! I have found it to be the superior method for me. I mean, back in the day, people wouldn't even fuss with it, they'd just scoop up the baccy from the sachet and shove it in there.

    Yup, I hate black cavendish. It burns way too hot and leaves me with tongue bite as well as just tasking plane old nasty. Tastes like newspaper that has been soaking in sugar water then slow baked for months. Autumn Evening is the only blend with cav that I can handle.
