    Pipe smoking and diet

60% proteins from animal based, 30% from whole grains, vegetables, fruits, etc., 10% healthy natural fats (butter, olive oil, eggs, fish, etc.). Exercise every day and only eat Whole Foods except for some fun days on the weekend. It helps my mental health as well and look good for my wife 🤪.

    Pipe smoking and diet

I always thought moderation was difficult to define since it’s different from person to person. None of us are getting out of here alive but a lot of us would like to live as long as possible and die without crippjngly painful cancers 😂

    Pipe smoking and diet

Before a couple of you codgers jump in and say “you’ve posted a lot about health concerns and pipe smoking, you should quit” (as they have commented on a post before) I’m not really worried about health concerns just curious about this topic 😂. How do you think a clean diet mitigates health...

Struggling Coming Back after a Hiatus

Play and experiment, that’s the name of the game. That’s how I first started too, just need to rediscover, it’s sort of fun! Almost feels like you’re smoking for the first time all over again

Struggling Coming Back after a Hiatus

I’ve never heard of that before, I’m going to give it a try!

Struggling Coming Back after a Hiatus

Title edited for capitalization. Rule 9. Been taking about a month or two of a pipe smoking hiatus and am having troubles coming back. When I light up my bowl I get a lot of the great flavor from my blends but lose the flavor about a minute into smoking. I can’t seem to find the right...

Finally Got a Claw...Yanik of Course

Yanik makes some of the most beautiful pipes from the finish to the details. I would be scared to smoke his pipes though

How to Get a Stain Out of a Meer?

This is shameful but I left my pipe out on the porch a few weeks ago, resting on my tobacco drying plate. The water and the tobacco created a brown liquid and stained the side of the pipe. Any idea if I can get this out?

    Spoiled by Meerschaum

I’ll be the first to admit I do smoke hot. My technique does need refining for sure even after several years smoking. This is something I’ve sort of consistently noticed though over the past two years smoking meers and it sort of climaxed in last nights smoke. Perhaps I need to modify my...

    Spoiled by Meerschaum

After smoking one of my briars tonight, I think I can safely say that I am 99% done with them. I've been putting the meer down lately just to put some carbon in my much neglected briars and I have yet to have a pleasant smoke in any of them. I own quite a few, outnumbering my meers 3:1 and I...

Old Codger All Day Smoking with One Pipe

I’ve never had luck smoking a briar all day long. I have however been able to smoke meerschaum all day long. The white goddess has spoiled me and I can’t smoke any of my briars anymore

Was Pipe Smoking ever Popular in Sweden?

I also use snus as well and am aware that’s the primary nicotine delivery system in Sweden. Funny enough now that I’ve convinced my wife to be okay with it, I’m thinking about quitting because of my genetic predisposition to high blood pressure. That’s food

    Rehydrating flakes

My friend gave me a whole pound of HH Burley Flake and it was quite dried out. I put it in a massive canning Jar I have. I wanted to rehydrate it so I flicked a few water drops and left the jar in the sun to create some condensation to help rehydrate. However I’m a little worried this might...

***What Are You Smoking, August 2024?***

Man do I love working remote. Trying to get some color on this IMP after a pipe hiatus. Smoking some HH Burley flake and frankly, not enjoying to too much today. I think I started it too hot.
