Just acquired a new IMP lattice bend billiard. Going to use this as a coloring blog. Here it is, unsmoked with Elizabethan Mixture. Going to go on a little walk.

Lattice meerschaums are the best out there in my opinion!!
Well it’s been a while since I updated. I have smoked this pipe quite infrequently, maybe three bowls one day and then a few days off. I’m at about 25 bowls and starting to see some of those “veins” pop out in the shank. I’d say by bowl 50 it will have some nice coloring.

I'd like to suggest you try to use the same place and lighting to document the coloring process. Include the back of the same business card for more precise color balancing.I realize that it’s hard to see in these photos
Will be fun to watch. I'm currently doing the same with my new Dulger meer. Watching them age with you is certainly a bonus! Although not quite as dramatic as meer, i do have a couple briars that have darkened nicely with age as well. 
I am more of a smooth meer guy myself but damn the curves and lines on that pipe are outstanding.
