Correcting a High Draft Hole in Meerschaum
I recently acquired a new meerschaum pipe that I really like, unfortunately the draft hole is drilled about 3-4mm high in the bowl. Is pipe mortar an appropriate medium to sue to correct this, or should I just live with it?- Navy Chief

Grandpa gave me some old pipes
I'm feeling the same way. I know my grandfather was a pipe smoker, I have memories of him smoking, but he passed long before I could talk to him about it or express any interest in his pipes when he passed. Would love to have even one of them, and to know what blend he smoked.- Navy Chief

Just finished a bowl of MacBaren Mixture Scottish Blend from 2005(ish) in my 2022 Peterson 999 Christmas Pipe. Think I might dedicate this pipe to that blend for awhile and see how if it changes the experience at all.- Navy Chief
