    I have a friend traveling to Amsterdam in a few weeks and I'm writing to ask if anyone knows of any pipe tobacco shops there that carry blends that are hard to find here in the states, and if so, what blends would you recommend?     I know the feeling. Gave my first pouch of it away and now it's a go-to blend for me. I used to blend it with Amphora's Kentucky because I first found it lacking in depth and strength. I've since learned to appreciate all its subtleties.

    Handling Moisture?

    Drying out your tobacco will certainly help a bit. If my pipe starts to gurgle and I don't have a cleaner handy I put my thumb over the bowl and give the pipe a short quick flick with my wrist, stem pointed outward. This works to fling any moisture out of the pipe when you're in a jam.
