    Drug interaction and nicotine

It's sad that it seems like the pharma and medical establishments are only interested in the public's health if they can get their hands in a share of the pie. Growing your own would prevent that, therefore let's make it either illegal and/or too high priced for a lot of people to access it...

Its almost been a year now

Seagull, I don't know that I would get rid of your Frog right away. Tastes tend to change over time, and what you at first might not like, you may relish later on. The smell you're referring to is probably the Latakia in those two blends. You may not care for it now, but it could just be your...

    Tobacco-ing Up A Coworker

Way to go Anthony. I tried to get my brothers interested by giving tobacco and pipes as a Christmas present last year. However, after one or two tries one of them just wasn't interested enough, and the other would rather smoke a cigar, not really being patient enough to learn the in's and out's...

Your stuck on a deserted Island, with ONE tobacco blend for life....

Ok, nobody's said it yet, and we all know THIS would be the one. Mixture 79

I am normally a one pipe smoke twice a week, my day off on Thursdays and then one on Sunday. But, I had two yesterday and didn't even realize it was smoke-out day. Klondike Gold earlier in the day, and then Walnut in the late afternoon.

Pipe smoking and health. A personal story

Congratulations on a good report from the doc. That is great news. Also, welcome to the forum. Glad to have you. 44 years, huh? Wow, that's a long time. Probably as long as Condorlover but without the extreme age and eccentrity :nana:

    Using Matches?

H.E.B. huh? Great. My wife will be in SA next week. I think I'll have her stop and get me some so I can try them out. I've also used the green-tipped matches, not sure what brand, and they burn way too quickly. Thanks simnettpratt

    Starter Tobacco? Codger Blends?

Of the ones mentioned I have only tried SWR Aromatic, Carter Hall, and Walnut. I liked the SWR but have not gotten back to it since that pouch. Carter Hall was only ok, and Walnut I much enjoy. It is a light English, cross-ever English, whatever. However, as already mentioned, it is...

    Newbie in Quebec

Welcome to the forums Tallguy. Good to have you. Well, you're not as old as I was when I started. I'm 56 and only started a little over a year ago. Never touched tobacco before that (except for a little chewing tobac when I was in college). But better late to the party rather than never. I too...

    Mississippi River and R.I.P. dad.

Sorry for your loss Don. My heart aches for you. My wife's dad passed away about three weeks ago of heart and kidney failure. It is such a painful thing to watch, feeling helpless. Please know our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. Was wondering about your absence these several...
