    My First TAD & PAD

Yeah, Butternut Burley is one of my favorites. Good choice for an aromatic. I haven't tried any of those particular English blends, but I have several others. They all smell good to me, but your wife may not appreciate the Englishes. Hopefully, it won't turn her off, but either way, they're good.

Which flake should I crack first?

Yeah, let us know what you think. I have not cracked the Dunhill, only the GS. Interested in your thoughts on it

What is the future of Condor?

The big question everybody really wants to know is who has more tobacco, Peck with his 650ish lbs of many different blends, or Condorlover with his 38 years worth of only Condor? Bets anybody?

    Jim's H&H Viprati Review

Hi Jim. I also love Anni Kake, and was wondering about Viprati. I have Louisiana Red but have not opened it, and also have Virginia Spice, but it's been awhile since I tasted it. Will have to revisit it. How would you compare Viprati to GL's Sixpence? I did not care for Sixpence the only time I...

Transitioning from Prince Albert to other tobaccos

With me I have found that letting it sit and dry out a good while, longer than you might think, before stuffing into the pipe, has helped my experiences quite a bit. Also, when I switched to the "swirl" method of loading the pipe, more often than not that helped as well. I dry every blend...

    Indy's new Pipe

Your granddaughter will have great memories of her pipe-smoking granddad. I received a churchwarden myself from my son-in-law last year. I love it. Congrats! A Dunhill

How Do You Open a New Tin of Tobacco?

I also took Peck's course last year. No, he doesn't give any discounts for forum members, but I did get 10 free tins of 8 year old Escudo from his cellar. You did say help yourself, didn't you Peck?

The Man, The Myth, The Condor Lovin' Legend or I Am Not Worthy

Yeah that was a classic photo of Simon, but I want to know where you got the yellow boots? :D

    The Homeless Pipe Smoker

Thanks for being a good example to the rest of us Frank. Who knows, one day it may be one of us in that same situation.

    New Guy Here

Welcome from Texas, Tyler. EVERYTHING is right. Only you can decide what works for you and what doesn't, but eventually you will try what seems like everything, based on everybody's recommendations. As far as an aromatic, I recommend Scotty's Butternut Burley. Absolutely fantastic. Want to try a...

    Looking for the best

Esoterica's Peacehaven - Old and New

Thanks for the review, Cosmic. By your description of the relationship you have with your tobacconist, it almost makes one want to move to your neighborhood in the great state of Alabama.....but not quite P.S. I have an uncle and aunt that live in Hueytown

    Honest Recommendations

I would strongly recommend Scotty's Butternut Burley. Has a very good room note, and very good taste for an aromatic, in my opinion. Has some vanilla and chocolate tones to it, and good quality burley

    Sixpence Is Here!

Let me be the first to say I didn't care for it, on first smoke. I didn't really care for the smell upon opening, and the taste really didn't agree with me. Oh well. I'm still keeping it. I know that GL produces superior blends with superior leaves, as a whole. I know that it will probably...
