Show Off Your BBB Pipes Here

Wonderful pipes all. Damn I'm so jealous. I have one BBB probably from the 50s or 60s. Just plain ole billiard but it smokes great!

    Gawith Hoggarth RD Honeydew

Jay, have you tried both the tin and pouch versions? Do they taste the same to you? I have a few tins but haven't tried them yet.I mostly have the RR pouch version, and I like it just fine. Was just curious what your experience has been. For me I think the light touch with the dark fired is what...

    Gawith Hoggarth RD Honeydew

Hawky(Dave) sent me a generous multi-bowl sample of RDH that I received Wednesday, just in time for my day off yesterday. It smelled oh so good in the packet. As with the other GH offerings it had that typical Lakelands smell and taste but this was a little different than the others I have...

A History of McClelland Tobacco Company

Thoroughly enjoyed this. Thanks for posting

    Sutliff 507C Brothers

For those of you like me that just don't quite appreciate Sutliff's 507c Virginia slices. I find it just too weak and bland for my tastes, so I decided to add a little Five Brothers to spice it up, and it hit the spot! Both the flavor and the strength bumped up at least a couple of notches. So...

In Search of Vinegar and Tang

Hawky, shush! Think about what you're saying. Do you really want our beloved St.Bruno running out all the time? No folks. Nothing here to interest you. No resemblance to vinegar, ketchup, sweet and sour, etc etc. Foul tasting stuff here this SB. Just move on.

33 Year Old Capstan Blue ... Perfection

Congrats on your old tin still having a seal and aged to perfection. I took a chance on an old tin of Capstan Blue that had the seal compromised, and was hoping that a rehydrate would be able to restore some of it's former glory. It ended up being ok, but that's all. I think I'll just have to...

    Gawith Hoggarth RD Honeydew

Yeah, I hate bland. Course I know it's all subjective. And not sure whether to believe Duane. He probably just said that to be contrary :wink:I was kind of hoping it would be kind of in the arena of Condor and/or St. Bruno with just enough variation to set it apart, but I'll ponder over it some...

    Gawith Hoggarth RD Honeydew

Hi guys. I've tasted several SG and GH blends and enjoy them. I have not tasted RD Honeydew. SP has some in stock, but first I thought I'd ask what you think of this blend as compared to some of the other GH blends. Is it dissimiliar enough from the other Lakeland offerings that it is worth...

    Warhorse Green

Where you been Shanelktown? It's been a while since I've seen you around here. In keeping with the thread, yes I like all of the War Horse stable, but need to revisit them. In preferably smaller pipes for the Red and Green

    Got Anything For IPSD 2018?

Hey Anthony. It was your email the other day on the other unfinished Stanwell that influenced me to order the same one above that you bought. I love that shape and will be my first unfinished. Thanks a lot enabler. The discount made that a really good deal. :puffpipe:

    Peterson's University Flake

Had this again a couple of days ago in an Ascorti Sabbia Oro pipe. Had thick walls and was close to 2" tall. Seemed to be a perfect chance to try a first at fold and tuck. My tin of UF was pretty dry as it has been open for quite a long time, although the last few months was in a mylar zip seal...

Good to see you on the forum again Mr. English. Another blast from the past

    'Seconds' Questions

My memory could be faulty but I believe I had read that Parker and Hardcastle pipes were made in their own factories until Dunhill bought them out, sometime in the 30s or 40s

    Retirement and Exhaustion!

Congratulations Mike. After you have recovered then you can start on that garden in the spring right? A cob with some St. Bruno or Condor will be just right as you're hoeing those weeds

    St. Bruno in a BBB

Hawky I don't know what shape it is, no number on it. But it is a billiard. And yes I was relieved to know I could smoke SB without any bite, because I love it. Weezell, I have only smoked the RR version, and it is mighty good. I have some tins of the flakes but have not popped one yet...
