New and Upcoming Carvers Who Will Be Famous Five Years From Now

I think that individual artisans may still have some hope. However, if we are talking meerschaum carvers . . . I don't believe many people can give you any names as mostly the ones that are coming up are not allowed to put their own name on the product. Something about needing to be in the trade...

Pipes By The Pound: Do Big Pipes Cost More?

Yes. Bigger blocks that are useable without huge cracks and fissures are harder to source and cost the pipemaker significantly more. For a Group 3 or 4 sized pipe a plateaux block can cost around $25, for an XL plateaux it is over $50. Also take into account the extra time it takes to finish...

    Is this mold or ??

Put it in a bowl and drape a distilled water soaked washcloth (rung out as to not be dripping wet) over the top. Check the tobacco and rewet the cloth a...

First time with Orlik Golden Slices

One more thing, I don't like it rubbed out at all. It burns a bit hot and bland. I will only cube cut it . . . or when i don't have a scissors on hand I will fold and stuff, but cube cut to me is preferred and brings out the best flavor.

First time with Orlik Golden Slices

There is something to say about palate change. I originally tried OGS a decade ago and thought it was bland and not anything special, wrote it off and went on to other things. A few months ago I received a tin thrown in with a trade and decided to try it again. I have to say the flavor is there...
