    Pipe Tobacco VS. Hot Sauce??

Recently while trying to train my palette to enjoy the same spicy foods my wife enjoys I've found that I really enjoy putting Frank's Red Hot on just about everything (no pun intended) but I've found that it really make me susceptible to tongue bite with my beloved Virginias. Anyone else find a...

I have been looking for a small army mount for years. Under 5” with a small bowl. Probably going to be custom made.

    Looking for a Good Port

I'm surprised no one mentioned Warre's Warrior. It is my personal favorite. I told my wife I wanted a bottle of Taylor Fladgate 1863 single harvest and she said okay until she saw the $4000 price tag and smacked me in the back of the head.

    Social Smoke

Up here in Canuck-a-stan you'll rarely see it as they passed the law that you cannot smoke in parks, in public meeting places, in restaurants or bars. You may only smoke alone in your basement, with the lights off, after 8pm, on weekends, with a permit.

    Packing Pipes with Small Bowls

Are we talking flakes? Loose cut? Shag? For flakes, fold and stuff, but stuff lightly. For loose cut and shag follow the best advice I ever received..... Use less tobacco then you think you need, pack it looser then you think you need, and relight it more then you think you need. There is a...

The Dangers of Alternating Tobaccos in a Single Pipe

90% of my smokes are Virginas or VaPers and most of my pipes are "flake" pipes...... Small of bowl, narrower, etc. and I will smoke any Vig or Vap blend in them as my mood dictates. I also have mega bowl pipes, true big beasts, that make an aromatic blend sing the sone of it's people. I have two...

    Alternative Tobacco Storage

A nalgene water bottle would do well as well. That and you could use it to re-hydrate the tobacco as needed just by adding a few drops of water and setting it in a window. I used one for transporting cigars on my deployment with great success. Mylar is great but if you're a flake smoker then...

How Do You Paint a Missouri Meerschaum Pipe?

Believe it or not....... A plain sharpie works great on cobs. Colour it, let it sit for a few hours and voila!! No aftersmell, no rub off, and looks great. I've done a few danes and a couple of legends this way.

Fitting a M. Meerschaum Stem on a Clay Pipe

    Virginia/Perique Blends..... First Time Smoker

Can't go wrong with bulleye flakes. A fun thing I tried was I ordered some straight perique and started adding a pinch of it to my regular tobaccos and trying that. McClelland 5100 red cake and perique is awesome.
