Do You Introduce Yourself to Other Pipe Smokers?

Never seen a wild pipe smoker. I actually haven’t seen cigarette smokers for a while. Everyone’s a Darth Vaper nowadays, breathing liquid artificial nicotine.

    New Commission Heading My Way.

I ended up ordering 2 pipes and 0 tampers in the end from him. Lol

Thanks. Looks like I’ll end up getting another meer from him, not just a tamper, lol

Innovations In Pipe Smoking - Is Design Dead?

Actually all Actially all ancient pipes were long. Old Egyptian pipes and Old Chinese pipes were also long. I believe that for absence of Zippo lighters, one wouldn’t want to strike flint next to one’s face.

    New Commission Heading My Way.

I Back in spring when my family was fleeing from war I had to use a rusty nail as a tamper for 3 month 🤠 , cause I grabbed my pipe, but not the acessories. It had a shape just like yours, lol.

    Hello From Ukraine

I used to live right near Florida as an exchange student at Kinglsand, GA. So I’ve been to Florida a lot. Amazing nature!

    Introduction by New Member

How many messages did it take to get rid of the «lurker» status?

    Hello From Ukraine

Lol, no. I just bought it for the pleasure of having it, without having any special use for it. For similar reasons I just made an auction bid for a 17 century clay pipe. For the pleasure of having it, even if i’m not going to smoke it.

    Hello From Ukraine

Quite a number of pipe smokers here smoke or at least own 17th century clay pipes here. They are pretty cheap here given their age I should say. You can get one for 2-10 dollars. Although finding a more intact one would not be too easy. And i wouldn’t know where to start with connecting a stem...

Would you be so kind to share his contacts? I always wanted a purely meer tamper, but the only tampers available always have a metal end, rendering the whole idea of a meer tamper useless.

Show off Your Corn Cobs Here!

I had owned 3 ordinary Missouri Meerschaum corncobs. Funny that only one of them won my heart and two got discarded. Awful drilling didn’t stop it from being a great smoker. Unfortunately age, and heavy usage in unfavourable weather conditions had taken its toll and it simply can’t take it...

Innovations In Pipe Smoking - Is Design Dead?

Vauen tried to solve these problems with their Quixx, but i’d say it’s like trying to change the target audience… simply can’t work out properly

    Hello From Ukraine

Thank you for the kind words and a generous offer. Doing fine. Better than could have been, really. Mildly optimistic I should say. Unfortunately tobacco and alcohol are and have always been forbidden for postal import into the country. I guess the government is strict about not allowing...

    Show Us Your Savinelli Pipes!

A 601 Churchwarden of mine. I should mention that I was mildly dissatisfied with the quality of the workmanship. A small piece of the carbonation dislodged almost immediately so I had a cavern to patch. The stem was so loose, when holding the stem, the bowl actually freely rotated. Smoking...

    Show-Off Your Stanwell Pipes Here!

My Army Mount (although not a “proper” army mount at all) is my first pipe and carried me through a lot of hard times. It was a present from my wife, who chose a sandblasted version. I was disappointed at first but grew to love it so much, that now I can’t even think about using a smooth pipe.

    Hello From Ukraine

Hello, everyone. For means of introducing myself: I have been smoking a pipe for about 5 years. Not a very consistent smoker: sometimes I would smoke daily for a month, other times I would smoke once a month. At the moment I have 2 pipes: a Stanwell Army Mount and a Savinelli 601...

To sand or not to sand? (briar bowl inside)

I would like to thank everyone for for advice and special gratitude for the coffee tip. It had an incredible and immediate impact. Just wow.

To sand or not to sand? (briar bowl inside)

Dear gentlemen, If you get a moment to spare on my question I would be much obliged. The pipe in question has sentimental value, since it was my first pipe and it was a birthday present from my wife. It went through all newbie mistakes possible through 5 years of use. Lately after picking up...

    My Cheap No-name Meer
