    Nutty Cut?

Nutty Cut is rather like 1-Q, just not as sweet and with a definite hazelnut/macadamia flavor. Not bad to an Aro smoker, but others won't care for it.

    Any Tennesseeans out there?

I'd love to have a mountain-top compound in Del Rio. I met a good fellow at Smoky's today and forgot to get his name. I just naturally thought he'd be on this thread! EDIT: @doctorhoss, I somehow inherited a whole tacklebox of spurs.

    Vintage Kaywoodie Boxed Set

That is ... just too beautiful and awesome for words. I also think you got a deal - I had told my wife it would go well over $500. It would be a crime to smoke them, and a shame not to!

inherited my dads old pipe can anyone identify it please

Welcome! If these guys don't know it, it ain't worth knowing. This page notes a William Henry Vince, a tobacconist in Leeds c1905, but that's the best I got. Possibly the pipe was commissioned for sale in his shop. One of the others may be able to build on that?

    Baby Food Jars

I do keep a row of these in a carry box, along with my 'truck pipes'. I haven't noted any smell or adverse taste after a good cleaning. No problems with freshness, either, and some of the blends have been in there for months.

    Captain Black revisited

I've had a lot of good tobaccos, but lately it's been Captain Black Dark. Add just a pinch of anything to change the taste dramatically.

    Great Great Grampa?

The first one fooled me completely. That "wild-eyed" look comes from having to hold eyes open for the entire exposure. (I don't know how long, without looking it up, but Bradley ought to remember. :P )

Tom Eltang: Moving up from Golden Contrast

Very interesting. I have long admired Mr Eltang's beauties.

    DUI Blues

It's all a very interesting debate, and a lot of good questions have been raised and answered. However... Here's a guy I have worked beside for years, and whom I counted as a friend. We have a zero-tolerance policy that every employee understands. He was terminated for cause at 8AM this...

    DUI Blues

ae1pt- That is a cautionary tale to end them all! I'm glad you put the responsibility where it belongs, and that you are now clear-headed. daveinlax - He was a police officer. Was. EDIT: My wife affirms that a teacher in her system would be fired, as well.

    DUI Blues

Let this be a warning to all of you. One DUI can ruin your life. A young man in my office was arrested this morning for DUI and Leaving The Scene. I should say, he was in my office, for he will be fired at 8:00 Monday. He's a good kid with lots of ability, and he could have retired from this...

    Met A Kentucky Tobacco Woman

Very interesting, Bradley! My grandmother was a 'grader', but I never learned how to do it. By the time I was fifteen, I swore I'd starve to death before I ever worked in tobacco again.

Pipes and Cigars spelled Customer First!

Great folks, and my go-to internet retailer. I just corresponded with Nico this morning over a tin ruptured in shipping, and he made it right entirely to my satisfaction. I have never had a bad experience with P&C.

    Steve Laug

A huge +1 to all comments. Steve is a good gent, and has taught me all I know about restoration. (I admit THAT isn't a great recommendation, but it's true.)
