Peterson pipes certainly seem to hold their value. I have been looking, off and on, for a good used Pete for years (Just cause I'm stingy) and used ones are as much as new. They just don't seem to come up estate very often, in my experience. Maybe the Thinking Men smoke 'em to death?- cynyr

I don't care for rusticated or carved pipes, but a nice sandblast is a beauty. It enhances the natural character of the wood, IMO, the same way a smooth finish does.
