yes Sir it is Argyle, made by Hardcastle. Briar, i would think..could be the staining process? . London made.

It is hops, I have three different varieties. Unfortunately they were nearly decimated this summer after prolonged triple digits and a spider mite infestation.

They are interesting plants. When I lived in WA state, I used to see huge acreage of Hops, growing on high poles and wires. Local brewers I assumed.
