The Pipes Magazine Radio Show – Episode 340

Kevin Godbee
Thank you for joining us for The Pipes Magazine Radio Show—the only radio talk show for pipe smokers and collectors. We broadcast weekly, every Tuesday at 8 pm eastern USA time and are available on nearly all podcast sites and apps. Listen on your computer, tablet, phone and even in the car! Our featured interview is with Kevin Godbee (that’s me), the owner / founder of PipesMagazine.com. We decided to have me on the show since the site recently turned 10-years old. Brian and I talk about how the site started, how my pipe collecting and smoking have evolved, how to get banned in the forums, and my newer business that covers the local food and restaurant scene. In our opening segment, Brian will discuss nicotine, and read an article on it from the Winona Daily News. Sit back, relax with your pipe, and enjoy The Pipes Magazine Radio Show!

Tonight’s show is sponsored by SmokingPipes.com, Cornell & Diehl, Missouri Meerschaum, and Savinelli Pipes and Tobaccos. Please give them some consideration when making your next pipe or tobacco purchase.
We hope you enjoy our 1-hour show produced just for you—the pipe smoker and collector. The following link will launch a pop-up player. Alternatively, you can download the show in iTunes and other podcast sites and apps after the initial broadcast is complete here.

  • It was a fine, if somewhat repetitive, show. Nice to be hearing that we will be getting a new forum. Please tell me that it comes with a better way to load pictures than the current one. God, is it awful.
    Music was okay.

  • Always good to hear from the elusive Kevin Godbee. Congrats on the 10yr anniversary. Anxiously awaiting the new updated website and easy photo upload feature.
Music was good and close to my heart.

  • Good show. The article was very interesting, but I kept waiting to hear if the author was pro or anti-pipes more definitively. Great to hear from Kevin. Congratulations, by the way, to Kevin for 10 years of pipes magazine.com. Not a fan of the music and the rant was good advice, but I have a concierge so it doesn’t matter. Really looking forward to the forum facelift and easier photo posting. Finally, I was sad to hear you might not make it to Chicago as I am trying to put things together so that I can attend for the first time and would have looked forward to meeting you.(Still up in the air, anyway.) Good excuse, though. Congratulations on your daughter’s upcoming graduation.
