The Pipes Magazine Radio Show – Episode 287

Kevin Godbee
Thank you for joining us for The Pipes Magazine Radio Show—the only radio talk show for pipe smokers and collectors. We broadcast weekly, every Tuesday at 8 pm eastern USA time and are available on nearly all podcast sites and apps. Listen on your computer, tablet, phone and even in the car! Our featured interview tonight is with Tom, the NWPipeSmoker. Tom has been doing YouTube pipe smoking videos since 2009. He has over 450 videos talking about pipes and tobaccos, and lots of other things too. It’s his way of having other pipe smokers to virtually hang out with. He is also a collector of Custom-bilt pipes. In our opening segment, Brian will do a taste test sampling of different tobaccos that might be a replacement for the McClelland 5100. Sit back, relax with your pipe, and enjoy The Pipes Magazine Radio Show!

Tonight’s show is sponsored by SmokingPipes.com, Cornell & Diehl, and Savinelli Pipes and Tobaccos. Please give them some consideration when making your next pipe or tobacco purchase.

We hope you enjoy our 1-hour show produced just for you—the pipe smoker and collector. The following link will launch a pop-up player. Alternatively, you can download the show in iTunes and other podcast sites and apps after the initial broadcast is complete here.

  • Good show. I think this search for a McClelland replacement is kind of like searching for fool’s gold. You may be happy with what you found but it won’t be any near like McClellands.
Tom was a good interview but man could he talk. It was obvious he doesn’t listen to the show much.
I’ll try Thursday and Saturday to see if I can get anyone to listen but I don’t hold out much hope.

  • I really enjoyed the interview and have been a big fan of the NWPipesmoker almost since I started smoking my pipe(s).
I also enjoyed and continue to enjoy, Tom’s stream of consciousness manner of conversation, especially when applied to the ‘fast five’.
The music really hit my groove. I once saw Muddy Waters perform that song, but I like this version more, I think.
    Thanks to all involved!
    Puffaway!

  • Great show! Tom was very jovial, and with how energetic he was I can only imagine what he’d be like after a shot of espresso ha ha. Pleasant smokes!
