  • I came to pipe smoking as a nicotine addict.
What prompted me to buy a pipe was taxes on my favorite RYO blend that came with the only papers I could tolerate.
How I stayed with my pipe and acquired many more, is thanks largely to youtube and pipesmagazine forums.
This radio program has been a great resource too, as a component of pipesmagazine.
    Live and learn!
    Great show, guys!

  • Love hearing from Tom. His YouTube channel is done really well.
It’s nice to have so many different outlets for the hobby. Instagram for pictures of amazing pipes, pipe shops, beautiful blends, places to enjoy a bowl. YouTube is great to really get to know people more personally. For those of us in less pipe populated areas it’s a way to sit down have a bowl and talk pipes with people (through comments sections/video responses and sometimes Skyping). It’s also great for those of us that learn better visually. Facebook and forums are great ways to connect with others around the world in the written form. I’ve noticed Twitter is good for contacting retailers and getting a quick response as to a pipe or blend availability. Not intending to step on toes, but Squire Radio’s live feed gets a lot of Twitter traffic. Beau and Jon David will sometimes mention Tweets live on air.
As for Pumpkin Spice I must say I do enjoy Sutliff’s blend of the same name. I like the pumpkin cheesecake flavor and the people around me love the room note. It pretty much only enters the rotation from late September to late November.
Can’t wait to see you at the West Coast Show next weekend Brian. Till then, stay safe and enjoy some sweet smokes.
