I have two author shape pipes of other brands, but as much as I like its sturdy boldness, the Sav 320 i just too heavy for the amount of chamber it offers. I have a Peterson and a Luciano.

I have a 601, which is like a magic pipe. It smokes everything perfectly.

I have a new 673 that's needs to be broken in, a Roma Lucite. Definitely looks good, I have high hopes.

As I'm a Dublin fan, I'd like to catch a 904 finished to my liking. I've heard great things and they certainly look good. I know embers has a collection.

122 is very functional, but not my favorite.

I like the simple shapes that they do well.

The 315 Prince
The 320 Author
The 606 Bent Billiard
The 620 Oom Paul

I Love their paneled shapes.

The 138 Straight Billiard
The 438 Zulu
The 638 bent Billiard.

My favorite Sav's aren't a shape, though, they arena finish. I just love the heck out of Estellas.

Honorable mention goes to the neat custom shapes many of the Autographs have.

My corallo is a 702 or 704 I can't remember. Some say liverpool. It's really elegant.
I have an old beater that's a 603.
I didn't mean to be so contrarian in my shape selections. It just happened that way. I've always felt the 673 and the 320 (series) were the shapes that were most indicative of the brand

Despite having several Savinellis of various ages and grades, of them, I probably smoke my Qandales most often as they work well for me while reading.

The 673 is a really comfortable shape and one of my favs. I actually like the way the Rossi version looks more than the Savinelli, which has a bit more of a ridge around the bowl. I love the 122, which I find one of the most practical pipe shapes I've tried, and I badly want an old 622. I'm also always on the lookout for a good 602 and 614. I've had 320s and a 413. I like how they look, but they don't work for me. What's with an"author" shape that's too heavy to clench and tips over with the least provocation?

I love the 626 bent billiard. On the smaller side but i still get a 40 minute smoke out of it. Extremely comfortable and clenchable. Like my bings favorite as well. 673ks is ok but doesnt smoke as well for me as the others. I find the 804 canadian a bit clunky.

I've wondered about those 311's. I love the look but have picked up the idea from "I don't know where" that they are inherently wetter smokers.
I used to have the same thought about shorter pipes, but they've been giving me some of my best consistent smokes.

My Trevi 904 and my Clark's Favorite are both really good smokers.

I am thinking about 673 as well. Are they clenchable? I know 320 is pretty bad at clenching.
