List your favorite material items. These could be a car, boat, fishing rod, briar pipe, etc. that you love so much you'll never want to part with, or just gives you the warm and fuzzy feeling each time you enjoy them..the one's that make you gracious for being born in this time of great quality manufacturing. Pictures will be appreciated too.
I'll start off:
1. Winston 7 wt. Fly Rod

2. Getzen Eterna LB Tuneable Bell Custom Engraved Trumpet

3. Streamline Fishing/Rain Jacket

Hmmm...
You see, right now I'm at a spot in my life where my attachments are more towards non-material things. Make no mistake, I'm not a monk and I have a lot of things, but there are very few things that I own that I would pull my hair out and gnash my teeth over if my house burned to the ground. If the house was on fire, I would grab my Apple Time Capsule, because my computers are backed up to it, including all of my photos. I'd grab the home movies if I could (that reminds me, I have to send the duplicates to my parents). But those are obviously more for sentimental value.
But when it comes down to it, I have one possession that I consider irreplaceable: my sword.

You can't spend years training with it and not succumb to the warrior ethos.

That is cool Geek.
I suppose (not including the sentimental stuff) I would have to list five things.

I would grab my Apple Time Capsule, because my computers are backed up to it if a copy is not 'off-site' then you have no real backup.
BTW, the only 2 things from above I would grab in a fire would be Jake and the Tinsky so I could enjoy watching the house burn to the ground then collect the insurance!

1. Estate Dunhills from Aaron Spelling's collection, and few other pipes.
2. Acoustic Guitar - 10th Anniversary Ovation Legend, acquired new in 1978 at age of 15 at Sam Ash in Edison, NJ.
3. Electric Bass - Fender Precision, made in USA, acquired new in 1983 at Sam Ash in New York City.
I have LOTS of other nice stuff that I enjoy (watches, clothing, shoes, flat-screen TV, DVDs, etc.) but nothing I would cry over, or even be bummed out if they went missing.
My computers are important since I run my business with them, and it could be catastrophic to lose them, but I have no emotional attachment to them.

My original pressing of Oliver Nelson -- The Blues and The Abstract Truth.

-not particularly rare as far as jazz LPs are concerned, but if you own on, you have a collection.
1978 Gibson Les Paul Standard

-at one time (just out of high school) I played in touring indie band and my dad bought this for me as a gift before we, 4 18yr olds with a van a trailer packed full of gear on a 5k mile road trip alone for the first time. Our parents had to have been terrified.
These come to mind, but I'm a terribly sentimental person, I could probably tell you the time, place and anecdotal info for almost everything I own. At 26 my life has seemed long --that's good I guess.

I like George Carlins idea about stuff . A Baker Paladin solid pecan dining set with the side board and hutch , two oil paintings that have been in every house I have ever lived in , a Camulus pocket knive that I have had for 40 years and carry everyday , my wedding band .The rest is just stuff and over insured .

Oops, I guess I forgot that my iPod has become one of my most cherished possesions...having such a small device that holds 3800 songs was something that I dreamed of 35 years ago in High School and finally lived long enough to see it come to reality.
And my LP collection of 1200 albums too...many, many hours of enjoyment through the years.

I know that I should refer to all of my possessions as "just stuff", but all of them are my favorites. I worry about the most stupid things and can't seem to throw anything away. Even if I haven't used it in almost 20 years, I still keep it. I think that I am a hoarder, lol.

I'm in the same boat. In this country, its amazing how rich with "stuff" we are even though we don't realize it. We're a very average middle class family and had a flood a few years ago. We lost about $65K worth of stuff and the only 2 things I miss were my camera and my computer. We lost more in junk than many will ever earn in a lifetime. It's amazing how much a loss can make you realize how blessed you are.
