Starting to Get Obsessed

I've got about 10 years' worth at my current smoking pace. Ideally I'd like to stock myself up to age 100 over time (what can I say I'm an optimist). For those of us who live in high-tax jurisdictions I don't think you can go wrong buying as much as you can afford today. As it is I'm seeing local shops selling 2022 Cringle for $75 a tin which suggests we will become Australia before we know it, and that any money wasted on tins I don't smoke will pay for themselves in future tax savings many times over.

These are terrible pictures of about 90% of my tins. I have a dozen jars of bulk and probably a couple dozen jars of open tins laying around. Looking at my tins, it's dawning on me that this isn't really a lot of tobacco. Just looking at it, I would like more HH Burley Flake, Cobblestone Hiking, and Westminster. I think adding more tins of just that will probably get me to where I'd like to be for the future. Some more St Bruno Flake, too.

Not nearly enough.

I have about 20 lbs in storage and roughly 2 or 3 lbs in current smoking rotation. I've been basically smoking everything I bought this year. And most of it was pipe purchases. Next year will be solely focused on tobacco.

I smoke anywhere from 5 to 7 lbs of tobacco a year these days. So I gotta double that in purchases this year.

I just recently inventoried my cellar, after selling off the majority of it several years ago to pay some mounting bills. (Thanks, Pipestud!) I’m at 240 tins—mostly 50g/2oz, but some 100g and maybe a half-dozen 8oz.
