Having smoked the same pipe for all my numerous bowls in one day, it's not bad but I'd rather have the option to have a fresh pipe for each bowl of the day.

Same tobacco wouldn't be bad, I can think of about a dozen McClelland blends that I'd happily smoke all day every day for the rest of my life.

I remember how shocked I was in the beginning, when you would say something like that... And now I just imagine this 😂

I wouldn't be at all miserable under those circumstances. It would be much better than being nicely miserable accepting either of the choices being offered.

I've earned the right to be a curmudgeon.

I could easily go 'codger' and smoke one pipe till it gave out or I did, and one tobacco blend in it.
I need the nicotine as part of my nervous system's stimulus, and I enjoy the taste of tobacco.
A cob or a Dr. Grabow would be wonderful, and I have several of each so I know this is true.

I’d definitely go with the one pipe/many blends option.

For my one pipe, I have fallen in love with the shape, look, and smoking performance of my Peterson Sherlock Holmes Milverton, so that’s what I’d go with.

If it had to be just one blend, I’d go with Balkan Sasieni, my first “transcendent smoke” experience and one that I’ve been trying to reproduce forever since.

I’ve never enjoyed these Desert Island thought experiments, where you’re limited to ten albums out of your entire collection to listen to while stranded (and usually with no provision for a system or power for your stereo on this deserted island in the fine print, meaning you’ve likely got ten LPs and no way to listen to them, like when a genie gets all literal on you with your wish that wasn’t specific enough). There are too many albums to choose from that evoke different memories or emotions that I enjoy and would want to have around—I would probably rather not choose any, given the scenario of being stranded. Like others have said, variety is the spice of life. For me, much of the pleasure I derive from pipe smoking is the variety involved—having all of the different pipes and all of the different blends available to me—having options for whatever mood or hankering at any given moment is something I don’t want to be without. I might be with Jesse on this and would choose nothing if forced into this situation.

Boy that would be terrible, but if backed into a corner, I'd have to choose option 1.
I can't imagine smoking the same tobacco every day any more than I could imagine eating the same meal 3 times a day forever.

The pipe would be a fairly new to me, Castello Occhio Di Pernice.
