See, that's just plain wrong.

Tests showed XY chromosomes...that's MALE and no amount of verbal masturbation can ever change that
You clearly don't know the difference between transgender and intersex. So no, I am not plain wrong. The chromosome test evidence has never been released. Even if correct that doesn't make her transgender. Please educate yourself.

In recent years the athlete Caster Semenya went through similar issues. She is also NOT transgender.

There are many medical reasons why people are born with differences in sexual development, and crudely joking they are 'chick's with dicks', makes fools of many of you.

The term 'woke'made it into the title of this thread. The issue has nothing to do with woke.

Because I keep hearing the term 'woke'. 'Woke' is a political pejorative, thrown around by those who believe they are in posession of the simple truth. Even when they haven't grasped the fundamental scientific fact, that the boxer in question was born a female. To quote Bart Simpson, 'the ironing is beautiful'.
Maybe. Did anyone pull her pants down to check? XY chromosomes seems to be rather definite. Unless someone saw her clams, I'll go with chromosome check.

OK, funny story here:

Some years ago, a cat showed up on our property. We'd seen it out at the deer block, keeping the bucks at bay while it hunted the mice and voles that had come in for a snack. After a while, we discovered that she was living in the shed. I made up a nice padded sleeping box for her, and started putting some food out. basic stuff, like canned salmon. It was such a sweet cat that we named her "Sweetie". Before we knew it, the cat was sleeping in the house, curling up on our laps to watch TV, and making our hearts melt. We took her to the vet to get checked out and the vet informed us that the not only was the cat chipped, but that "she" was actually a "he", and that his name was "Sherm". Who in hell names a cat "Sherm"?. The vet called the owner, who lived a mile away through the woods, and the cat was gone. For about a day. Next afternoon, "Sweetie" came running down the driveway, meowing to be let in the house. We called the owner, who threw in the towel and dropped off his chip info and wished us luck. We continued to calling the cat "she", since it wouldn't answer to "Sherm", but did come running when we'd call out for "Sweetie".

Talk to any pet cat adoption outfit that does the full meal deal selection process---meaning they have a room full of cat furniture with a human chair in the middle of it---and the wannabe adopter's candidate cats are put into the room with him one at a time.

Their stories are amazing. Some normal-acting cats won't go near a particular human, while some usually shy ones will jump on their lap and refuse to be put on the floor. Their mind is made up. (They obviously know something we can't detect. WHAT, exactly, we'll never know, of course.)

The adoption people just smile when humans come through the door and say, "I'm here to choose a cat." They know who actually does the choosing.

Sounds like Sweetie was waiting for her chance and took it. The fact that the previous "owner" gave up without a fight (so to speak) most likely means he knew it was a mis-match from the start.

Fair point. I'm not sure there have been chromosome checks. But even those are not definitive, as the case os Caster Semenya highlights.

The person in question identified as a female from birth. That is not the same as being a female. History is full of people born one sex, but being raised as the other. As for "woke" being a pejorative:It only became a pejorative because the woke people who claimed to be so used it as some kind of virtue weapon, were called on it, and laughed at.

All this back-and-forth and the obvious solution keeps getting elbowed aside.

All athletes who are biological outliers must compete with the physically stronger group.

Nothing else makes the slightest bit of sense.

If the world's population could be polled on this issue with a magic wand, the number of those who did NOT think it's the best solution to a Mother Nature-caused situation that's beyond human control would be vanishingly small.

Enter the shit stirrer politicians, grifters, lawyers, and so on... being sure to follow the money

And here we are

Ah, now I'm with you. She was asked at birth what they should put on her birth certificate. She chose female, which is why that is the category she WAS asigned. I remember having that conversation with the doctors myself, shorly after I was born. And you laugh at 'woke' people do you? OK then lol

George, you couldn't be more right. Cats choose us. If both are fortunate, the feeling is mutual.

Chromosome check in some cases are not definite. It's possible to have XY, and have female parts. Then how are we going to decide if a person is a man or a woman? One who can have, or rather carry a fetus isn't exactly definite either since some women can't.

So there has to be some way to determine when a person is a male or a female. Of course, now days it seems like one can be anything one wants to be. Maybe one day, I'll decide to be a dragon.

Chromosome test seems to be easiest. But if the test was not done, it should be easier for some female doctor to take her to a locker room and pull her boxer down.

Here is a very different take on the subject. Love it or hate it, broken noses, eye sockets, jaws etc are part of boxing. Quitting after a possible broken nose probably means that boxing isn't for you.

Why consider the facts when it is easier to go along with bullshit memes circulating social media? Yeah, I sympathize with all the stories about the girls who have trained their entire lives, blah, blah. I sympathize more with this female who has technically done nothing wrong and is being ridiculed around the world.

George...thanks for clarifying. In your earlier post you said with the weaker group. That was the only part I did not agree with, and was wondering if that was really what you meant.

AncientBrain strikes again.

And now what I typed is not editable, of course...

Protip: resist the urge to get old. You'll be glad you did.
