I’m getting my tobacco seeds from Ontario.

Also seriously contemplating the whole leaf places, which doesn’t count as a tobacco product yet. Maybe C&D will start making “blend kits” of whole leaves and a jar of flavor essence 😉

Yep, I've never spent much at a time on tobacco, but I dropped a couple hundred in the last few days, in case this turned out to be true. Somehow I wondered if it wouldn't really happen...but it did. Glad I erred on the side of caution.
Just checked myself and am glad I bought what I did over the past few months. Still, glad I’m not up in Canada :(

Yeah, I'm in WI too. This thread is what made me stockpile a lot of my favorite blends even more deeply last year. Good thing I did too with how many of them are going to be discontinued with the whole thing going on with STG, Mac Baren and Sutliff. Most of them are straight VA or VaPer blends so I expect them to age well. And seeing how my favorite blend(HH Pure VA) is almost certainly going away I'm very glad I should have enough to last me forever unless I smoke nothing else.

I checked with SP and P&C and saw the excise tax now, yikes. Glad I've been stocking up the past few years. I might be done buying tobacco unless something really interests me.

I don't know how your neighboring state pipe brothers feel about it, but I'd gladly help you flip a bird to your state govt. If you were willing to drive to another state for pickup, we could place an order for you and you just come get it. That's my thought at least.

You can't lose. Worst ways you'd have ended up with some great tobacco to smoke that will never be cheaper. If armageddon happens (it did) then you've got some great tobaccos to smoke that are no longer available and will be selling on Tinbids in the not to distant future for a lot more than you paid for them.

Missouri has the lowest sin taxes in the civilized world, whether on booze, tobacco or weed.

The Wisconsin 71% tax on loose tobacco and 100% tax on moist snuff has been around for decades.

Do your sinning in Missouri, folks.

I can buy two pounds of Bouy Gold for $25 tax paid and smoke an ounce a day for a month. The tax here is 10% of list price to the retailer.

Since the wholesale on Bouy is likely not ten dollars it would add seven dollars a pound in Wisconsin. And they’d have the same per cent markup, so you might pay $50 for two pounds of Buoy in Wisconsin.

My mother told me not to smoke.

But if I’d listened I’d have blown the money on something else, you know?
My good ol‘ Missouri home!
