Who can say. I never thought we’d be faced with another world war.

It's hard to imagine there will be a broad revival of pipe smoking in the future.

But, never say never.
About 6-7 years ago there was a hipster wave, you know, programmers and art directors dressing like lumberjacks, and among their newly found attributes there was also pipes for a period.
Trends come and go.

I was talking to a college instructor at the local well stocked pipe shop about two weeks ago. He was picking up a new pipe. He told me many of his students were buying lesser priced pipes and tobacco. It was cheaper to smoke a pipe than cigarettes or cigars and his students were seeking advice often on pipe smoking. You never know. A MM and a little drug store burley is relatively reasonable.
