I do smoke before and after playing bass guitar, but not during, I suppose out of habit. Also, playing less frequently these days since my band days are behind me (I hope!).

I play various styles, mostly rock or blues oriented, metal punk and hardcore are fun as well. I was in a touring death metal band for three years. I loved it, but it can be a bit of a grind after a while. Don't think I would want to do that now!

My fairly new Martin HD-28 (2019). Helluva box.
I almost always have a pipe going while I play, but rarely do I clench. I usually smoke sitter or use a pipe stand and puff the pipe between tunes.

I'd say Escudo pairs with my jazz, and Burkey Flake #3 with my bluegrass. Best guess at least

Only when I play upright bass. I just drool into the pipe while playing guitar. There are occasional banjo-porch-corncob events, in which I also yell at the neighborhood kids to keep off my lawn.
