So, what kind of pipe smikers are you?

Do you prefer Straight Virginias, VAPers, VAOrs, Burleys, Balkans, Orientals, English, Scottish, Dark Fired, Lakelands, Aromatics, etc?
Or…do you swing every which way???
Do tell!

I'm a drifter, I want to say week after week my tastes change and I'm onto something different then what I smoked the week before. Lately it seems like daily I'm changing it up, no way I could ever stick with one type of leaf over another.

However with the weather cooling down I've been smoking: SWR, Warped Until the End, Amphora Burley, WCC None of Your Business

Heavy Latakia doesn’t excite me, lighter English blends, Scottish blends and others with it “lurking” I like. Seem to be on more of an aro trend but will be back into the more/total tobacco forward Vs and VPs pretty soon. And Grousemoor is sometimes really good, but usually outside in winter for some reason - not because my nose is running and I can’t taste it, lol.

I'm all over the place, pretty much anything but Lakelands. English blends preferentially in cooler months, Va and VaPer in warmer. Been trying aromatics for the first time in 25+ years this past summer. Found a few that may hang around.

Mainly a burley smoker. But I still like my English blends when the desire hits. Vapers and Virginia blends are an occasional treat.

My preference is for blends with Virginia (flue cured) in the lead.
Second, anything that Bob Runowski created. I just love what he did with Burleys.
Third, everything else that's not a goopy aromatic.

Also, just gotta give a +1 to @vosBghos for the Junkhead reference!
I dont go broke

Lots of different palates & preferences here!
For me, a good Scottish, stout English, are favored. Also enjoy Balkans & Orientals with a lighter emphasis on the oriental tobaccos. I prefer the Virginias, Latakia and Perique to shine a bit more. Also like the occasional inclusion of unflavored black Cavendish & stoved Virginias in the blends to add a little sweetness and more body.
I have little experience with Burleys, so that may be in the future. Not fond of Aromatics at all!

Definitely Vapers and virginias. Some english but the lat has to be not to forward. I have not warmed up to burly.
Im not in the States anymore so good tobacco is a tight comodity. As a result I have a good time mixing blends and concocting my own mixes depending on my mood. My latest endeavor is to come up with a vaper/lat blend. Im getting pretty close to something I really like.
Im not opposed to aromatics if they dont bite the tounge. I do have a sweet tooth.

I like a little bit of everything. I don't care for goopy aromatics as much as those around me do, so I smoke them more than I'd like. Most codger (or codger clones) I've enjoyed. I like Latakia as a condiment, not a star. I'm starting to figure out Virginias. Love some oriental. That should be less than helpful.

Thank you for your honesty, and you can bet that this list will be getting to the FDA, ALA, and the Truth Initiative to get them removed from the shelves.

Sincerely,
Karen

Mostly Virginia forward blends generally. I smoke certainly burley and aromatic blends regularly, but not often.

Latakia and floral Lakelands are not for me.

This thread is giving me anxiety. I'm barely scratching the surface..so much to learn. But besides Captain Black and those cheap big bag blends, I mostly have access to C+D. I love the Nutty Irishman and absolutely can't stand the Pirate Kake.

I smoke pretty much everything from 'goopy' aros to straight VA's to Lakelands and everything in between. The only thing I don't smoke much are heavy English/Balkan or Lat bombs. I like the taste, but heavy latakia blends don't really agree with me for whatever reason.

I find I'll just ride a style as long as it's tasting good. This summer it's been mostly aros, spring I was smoking mostly Vas Vapers, winter I smoke a lot of milder English/Scottish type blends.

With fall around the corner I'll probably crack some Vapers to get it rolling.
