honestly that is the one thing from him I find genuinely funny. I respect how he paid to push comedy forward but he really just never tickled my funny bone. And frankly I rarely believe people my own age when they say they're a fan of his comedy. Because Lenny Bruce might not be afraid but I don't think he's that funny either, except on that bit. That particular bit is pretty amusing.

I'll give a straight answer to the question this time. I've met quite a number of members of several forums, and have very positive feelings about all of them. The ones who said they wanted to meet me, well, I want to meet you, too. I hope that will happen one of these days.

I have had very enjoyable phone chats with some of you. I hope I meet those folks, too. Even Harris!!! :ROFLMAO: cray Seriously, Harris and I are good friends, and I certainly hope the day comes when we can get together. We'll have a blast, and I hope somebody will come up with bail money when that happens! ?

I'm going to say something maybe controversial: none, despite beginning to feel I know a few hints of some regular posters' personality here, and thinking they're fun people to hang out with.

Having been active on several fora over 25 years, and having been to many forum meets I found that often it's best if you don't ever see the real person. In forums we present ourselves as we want, we write whenever we want, real life is more complicated!

I agree. Just like Costanza said on Seinfeld, the two worlds will collide and nothing will ever be the same. It has nothing to do with not liking someone or thinking anyone is "not interesting enough" or anything like that. I've done it on other forums where we got together to play music and it's just too awkward and I'm a pretty quiet guy that doesn't share a lot in person so it just doesn't work. Also, there is a certain image that the avatar and what you say on the forum provides that I don't want blown up.

Huh. On here and in my videos I'm just me. Never thought of creating a new persona. Interesting.?
Ditto!

I was gonna say that here and in the 'real' life I'm the same curmudgeon, as unpopular in person as I am online. Throughout all my 21 years on Internet fora I've never behaved any differently online than I would in person (aside from the limitations that the online medium places on us, of course, but that's not faking).

Same. Just my goofy, dumb-assed self. But I think get what he’s saying. With written word you have the option of thinking as long as you want to formulate what you’re going to say, and how you want to say it, but in “real life” conversation, it’s often different.

Well, a member who's currently absent would disprove some of your hypothesis. ?

I've never been able to do that, once it pops in my head, it has to come out.

I say a lot more stupid things in real life, because I can't check google or wikipedia and rearrange my grammar.
