I'm going to say something maybe controversial: none, despite beginning to feel I know a few hints of some regular posters' personality here, and thinking they're fun people to hang out with.

Having been active on several fora over 25 years, and having been to many forum meets I found that often it's best if you don't ever see the real person. In forums we present ourselves as we want, we write whenever we want, real life is more complicated!
I agree.

That being said there are some members long gone and some who rarely post anymore that I would have liked to meet IRL we have developed a friendship of sorts outside of the forum walls but have never met in person.

And of course @jaytex969 cause well we live right next to each other and he’s quite the funny guy.

So far, I've met one of the members here and spoken on the phone with another.

Amazing I've yet to meet any of the two who live in my own town. ?
There is a pipe and cigar club in Edmonton, but I never get notification about events because I refuse to join Facebook. I'm sure there must be some of them on here.

Cosmic because he looks clinically insane.
Well, I was going to say Mr. Mike, but... ha ha.

I have enjoyed meeting fellow forum members over the years. At the one and only New Orleans Pipe Show, I got to meet quite a few, along with Brian Levine and Al. And, when I was always to be found at The Briary, hanging out, I would get to meet even more forumers that happened to be passing through.
There are so many of you that I've enjoyed posts, musings, and beautiful pipe collections. But, I'm afraid that I would probably be a disappointment to meet. I am such a fine exemplar of handsome toxic masculinity that people just tend to hate me out of envy... ha ha, no, I am really just a quiet guy who has such an animated face that I cannot hide my true expressions, so making a joke, offsets uncomfortable social situations for me.

I really can't explain the phenomena of just setting down to smoke my pipe. It seems to attract people who want to set down and talk to me. I honestly barely respond, just nods, facial gestures, and grunts... not wanting to remove my pipe from my clench. I am more of a listener than a talker.

But, that said, despite a desire to reach out and meet with so many of you, Cgrmaster Harris would be the one person who I would name that I wanted to meet. He seems to have such a diametrically different personality to me, that I think that I would enjoy hearing him go on and on all day.

But, as I've said, I would be honored and thrilled to meet so many more of you that a list just would seem like a daunting task. And, I am sort of humbled by those who have mentioned me. Just don't hate me because I'm beautiful. puffy

cigrmaster, your fame grows, but what of it? Please comment.
Cosmic - seems I remember you being labelled as clinically insane. If so you're in good and more or less universal company. I meet people who are more sane, but truly sane? not often. More, how can the highly conditioned step out of their web of experiences and their current situation, their bias, that makes them less sane to have any experience of what real sanity is?
jiminks - Harris BO remarks audacious and a riot.

A positive thread, and that's always a good thing, to balance the internet's seemingly endless ability to be snarky and cut and run.

@jiminks - He's a mythic figure, a pipesmoking artist
@BROBS - I want to see if brobsposting is done by a real guy or a room full of writers
@lawdawg - I'm a young country lawyer that could always use wisdom from somebody who is thoroughly established in our old profession

Thanks man. I'm only in my mid-30s though, which makes me young for a country lawyer since the rest of them around here are 50+ puffy I think there are a couple of deputy prosecutors that might be younger than me, but I'm pretty sure I'm the youngest civil practice attorney in the county.

The late great fish'n'banjo; with some caffeine, maybe peck; and many others. I'd like to visit jiminks studio where he does the cartooning, and sablebrush at his studio, and some of the active duty and vets to swap war and sea stories, and brad to see that cane growing, which I now know how it is planted. A lot of pets of members I'd enjoy meeting. Some charismatic critters.

That's a valid point of view. A lot of virtual personas are complete fakery.
My experience is the opposite. I've enjoyed meeting, talking with, and/or corresponding with every one of the members with whom I have contact beyond the confines of this august forum. No regrets.

Same. His wife is much better, though! :)

Didn't include him as he's not a regular poster. Same for Russ Oulette, Greg Pease and Brian Levine.

Figured he was probably as regular as me. I'm about as irregular as they come. Didn't get to meet his wife but I'll take your word that she's got something on him.

I had the most eye-opening experience when I learned that a few members we had back a few years ago weren't even male. I mean, they never said, "I am a man." But, now I know better than to just assume... And, watching them jump in on "real men" threads after learning that they weren't threw me for a loops also, ha ha. So, you just might be in a pissing contest with a squatter. But, if I were a real female pipesmoker wanting to just socialize about the hobby, I wouldn't put a picture of a female in my avatar. I'm not saying that we haven't had any... but, just say'n... puffy
